Onlookers would see a freakishly tall man with a childlike look of excitement and joy plastered on his face sitting on a blanket with a picnic basket resting on his lap. But in reality it was so much more. This was not just an ordinary picnic, this was the first time Yoizuki would have had a chance to see Holly in what seemed like forever to the man. Even going a day without basking in her warmth was too much for him, so this was quite the occasion He had to make sure that this meeting would be absolutely perfect, or there was no telling what could happen. She was probably surrounded by so many people that were much more charming and intelligent than himself. What if she was no longer used to him? He knew that he was a difficult person to be around, but hopefully providing her with the perfect afternoon despite his company would make this an overall pleasant experience for her.
The blanket selected for the momentous occasion was carefully spread out in the shade of the move voluminous tree in the park, placed carefully to ensure that it's shadow would be positioned over their position by the time she arrived in order to provide maximum time in the shade. The blanket chosen was an icy shade of blue to match his love's vibrant eyes, and was carefully ironed and spread out to ensure it looked clean and presentable despite being outdoors. The soft breeze wafted the aroma of sweet potatoes from basket in his lap to the surrounding area, which would hopefully be enough to entice the object of his affections. The basket was still warm despite the amount of effort that was put into this set up, suggesting he may have had this all planned out before his arrival.
The only thing that was not specially prepared was the man himself. Yoizuki was in his normal attire with his scarf coat and gloves, completely bundling himself up despite the warm weather. He knew all too well that there was nothing he could do to make himself more appealing, so instead he focused that energy into preparing what he hoped would be the perfect meal for the pair. His hat would sit on the ground beside him as he eagerly scanned the area in search of his love, the strands of hair framing his faze waving slightly in the gentle wind. His heart was racing, gaze occasionally shifting down to the blanket on which he sat in search of any imperfections. Eyes suddenly widened as the corner of the blanket got caught in the wind, causing it to move ever so slightly and form a bit of a wrinkle on it's surface. Immediately Yoi would lean forward, long arms reaching over to tug the corner back into position and smooth out the wrinkle before even the hint of a crease could form.
Everything had to be perfect.
