victor is not wild. his aggression is calculated, purposeful. he's long past the time of being a spry, trigger happy trainer. pokemon are weapons and should be treated as such, with discipline. sicking them on anything that moves is for someone much greener. that's why when morgana enters the clearing his rhyhorn stays. only after they confirm the enemy is shitter allowed to strike. fortunately, the bubbly little girl in front of them looks like anything but.

"rhyhorn's heavy." a concise reply meant to serve as an explanation. not that he owes her one. he's a little brash but that's his defense mechanism. not that he's taken offense - yet - but considering their disturbance, it's not too far-fetched for them to be considered a pest. but what's she going to do? victor has little fear of someone who looks so meek.

it's not her that he needs to fear, it's the one that follow. a pair of canines leap out from another brush, growling. whether it's about territory or hunger doesn't matter. nor does her care. not when the houndoom LEERs at them with vicious scowl. the malice in its eyes give away that they're up to no good, ready to enact out their NASTY PLOT.

"run them through. prioritize the bigger one."

it doesn't take much to get shitter going. once the command is given, the pokemon torpedoes toward morgana, ignoring her completely as it passes. the hulking mass throws itself without regard for its own well being. couple hundred pounds of plated stone threatens to BULLDOZE both pokemon. no amount of fire, even the most ferocious INFERNO, is able to stop it. it soon degrades into a feral scuffle between fangs, hooves, and a very dangerous horn. morgana is an afterthought. 

as long as she stays out of the way.

"then don't get in the way?" it isn't a sarcastic answer. at least not by nature. victor's too simple for such complex sass. instead, he keeps it frank, processing her request with the simplest of answers. after all, nothing quite kept her here, right? by all accounts, she can just up and leave. or so victor reasons out. unfortunately, things aren't always so easy.like taking out those two pokemon.

okay, honestly, that was pretty easy. it's the consequences of handling that nuzleaf that proves a hassle. because nuts never come by themselve. there's always bofa them. sure enough, shiftry comes out soon after, looking for its protege. the roselia that comes with it seems docile enough to ignore. the bigger they are, the badder they right, or something like that.

"you know the DRILL, rhyhorn."

the element of surprise grants victor an edge. having come into the clearing without seeing their previous activities, shiftry doesn't expect the raging rhyhorn to charge at it. it underestimates shitter and plans a NASTY PLOT, confident that it can withstand a physical attack and retaliate with a ferocious LEAF STORM. unfortunately, that never comes to pass. a single HORN DRILL is enough to put an end to that idea.

watching the pokemon crumple up and retreat, victor almost debates catching it. after musing the thought, he decides against it. instead, he turns his attention to the other trainer, watching her dispatch the much more timid roselia. surely, whatever happens, it'll be eventful. almost enough to take up three hundred words. victor takes the chance to recall shitter to his pokeball. last thing he needs is for the pokemon to interfere. experience has taught him that it's more than likely to happen, and, the last few times the other trainers weren't too happy about it.
