Hearing the sounds of wind escalate above them, Lily would stand up on Aiden's shoulder somewhat alert now and growl slightly as she looked towards the sky. Aiden would raise his hand to shield his eyes from the glare due to the sun and his eyes locked onto the Pokémon that was now approaching the pair. Nodding his head, Lily would leap off his shoulder and assume an offensive position in front of him as the round Pokémon landed in front. Now that it wasn't flying directly in front of the sun, it confirmed Aiden's suspcions. It was a Drifloon. The harmless looking creature was actually the topic of an urban legend around his hometown. Most believed that if a child held onto a Drifloon's strings, it would fly away where the child would never be seen again. Shivering for a moment, Lily would let out a little yelp to snap her Trainer back into attention. Nodding wordlessly, Aiden would analyze the situation in front of him a little bit more in depth. Lily primarily had Normal type attacks which wouldn't do much good against a Ghost Type like Drifloon and since it was also a Flying Type, it probably had even more moves at it's disposal past it's Ghost Type attacks. Letting out a groan of frustration, Aiden would try to think as to what he could potentially do in this situation, until he remembered he had a little bit of a wild card. Smiling as he pointed his finger towards the Drifloon, "Lily, use Attract!" The Skitty let out a noise of acknowledgement as Aiden thought a little bit further into the semantics of this. It was a 50/50 chance that this would work out because the move only worked if it was the opposite gender of Lily. Shaking her tail in a cute manner, Lily would skip closer to the Drifloon who looked at the Kitten Pokémon, ready for what was to come. However, Lily then winked at the Drifloon and it was easier to see the look of infatuation come across it's expression. Smiling at the fact that his plan worked, Aiden would also come to remember that Lily liked to fight a little bit dirty and had a Dark type move at her disposal as a result of this.

Aiden would once again point towards the Drifloon who was so infatuated that it could barely move as it's gaze was completely locked on Lily, it didn't even flinch when Aiden commanded, "Go now, use Feint Attack!" The Kitten Pokémon would walk over harmlessly towards the Drifloon until she leaped towards him, smacking him incredibly hard with her tail. The Drifloon would let out a cry of pain as it was forced backwards from the shock of the hit. For a first battle, things were going really smoothly. Although he couldn't afford to get too comfortable because the shock from that hit could have allowed Drifloon to snap out of it's trance temporarily. It was almost funny how things almost worked the way he expected to, where it was negative or positive. The Drifloon would twirl it's strings as a gust of wind forming something like a tornado was launched towards Lily. Aiden let out a panicked command, telling her, "Dodge it, Lily!" However, the Kitten Pokémon was unable to move out of the way fast enough, eliciting a cry of pain from the feline as it flew back from the Flying type attack. Aiden was quick to catch her lest she fell on the floor and she leaped out of his arms, injured slightly from the attack but with a renewed sense of vigor, she was ready to fight once again.

Aiden smiled at his stubborn partner as she meowed for a little bit of attention from him. Awarding her with a pat on the head would cause her to act as cute as she could possibly muster once again, using Attract once again on the unsuspecting Drifloon. It worked flawlessly again as Aiden cheered for his partner. She was scarily good at using her looks to get things how she wanted. The brunette smiled as he commanded a final time for Feint Attack as it was the only move she could use to hurt the Balloon Pokémon. His partner nodded with eagerness as she frolicked her way innocently towards the Drifloon and hit it with another tail slap. The Drifloon would almost crumple to the floor, managing to stay floating just barely with it's attention still completely devoted towards Lily who stood in front of him almost proudly as Aiden prepared his Poké Ball to capture the subdued Pokémon. However, Lily seemed a little on the fence about this development. Looking at the Drifloon and Aiden as he struggled to free the Poké Ball from his belt, she waltzed her way over to the Drifloon before offering it one final tail slap, finishing it off with a Feint Attack. When the capturing device was finally released from his belt, the brunette would let out a groan of annoyance as he marched over to Lily in a bit of rage. She tried her best to play it cute but her Trainer was having none of it. "You little... AHH! We were so close to getting you a friend! You can't just have me!" Lily looked somewhat dejected at the sound of her Trainer's angry voice as he sat down in front of her. Placing her in his lap as he sat cross legged, he would pet her somewhat sadly as he spoke, "I don't want you to be like me where I only have one person of my species that I can rely on. You need more friends." The Skitty stayed motionless for a couple of moments while her Trainer seemed to pet her before leaping out of his grasp. "Hey, Lily? What are yo-" The Skitty would run further into the grass as Aiden's eyes widened in shock. "Wait! Don't go there without me! It's dangerous!" Aiden would run into the tall grass, trying to follow his stubborn Kitten as she ran through the tall grass.

[attr="class","textie"]Aimlessly running through the brushes was a little bit risky as Aiden almost tripped along the way a couple of times. He heard Lily let out a couple of cries as she continued to run through the brush only to end up near a river, where there was Marill who was enjoying the cold water current combined with the hot sun. It looked extremely comfortable and Aiden almost felt a bit envious however that wasn't the concern at this moment in time. Aiden would glance at his partner as she analyzed the Marill before nodding her head and turning to her trainer. She would meow at him as if trying to tell him to catch this one. Chuckling, Aiden would pat the head of his Kitten Pokémon lovingly as she purred in response. "If you felt bad for the last thing you shouldn't have done that anyways. I should have let you look for the Pokémon that is gonna end up being your friend anyways. Sorry." Chuckling would alert the Marill as it looked alarmed upon seeing Aiden. The Aqua Mouse Pokémon let out a cry as it dove underwater in order to hide itself. Doing this would alert Aiden and Lily who ran over to the river in order to see where the shy mouse had located itself to. Aiden rubbed his head in a little bit of frustration as Lily meowed towards the river. Stepping towards the rippling tides, Aiden would preemptively ready himself to catch her in case she fell into the rapids however upon dipping one of her tiny feet, she immediately hissed and backed away. Chuckling, Aiden would pet his partner as she looked at the water with as much contempt as a possible for a Skitty and laughed while walking back over to her. "I understand you feel bad but don't do anything too hasty okay?" Lily let out a smaller meow than usual, signaling her feeling a little bad for what she did earlier as Evan scooped her up into his arms once again as he walked back in the direction that they ran from. Or the direction he at least thought that they ran from. As they disappeared within the brush, a sound of emergence came from the water as two blue ears stuck out from the current as well as a pair of eyes that were locked onto the pair.

Aiden felt himself sweat a little more as the sun continued to beat down unrelenting. Lily had taken to hiding with the comfort of his bag, which was surprisingly cool. Perhaps he packed something in his bag that left it like that? Either way, he was lost. He had gotten so caught up with trying to catch Lily that he didn't realize that it wasn't a straight path that they followed. Sighing, Aiden would look around and see another exit to the mini forest that they had found themselves in. Looking at his bag as Lily stuck her head out to see where they were, Aiden felt something watching him from behind him. Turning his glance, he would hear a squeak of panic as he saw a blur of blue roll behind the tree. Looking at the tree in question with a somewhat of a confused glance, he'd feel his backpack lighten as Lily hopped out from it, prepared to fight the stalker in question. Letting out a bit of a threatening growl, the Marill from before would peek out from behind the tree as it prepared to fight. Aiden smiled at his partner's eagerness to fight as he smiled. "Okay, let's do it again! Show 'em what you're made of, Lily!" Lily would let out a meow of approval as she sauntered her way over to the Aqua Mouse Pokémon ready to fight. Smiling, as his partner worked her natural cuteness, his eyebrows would raise as the Marill seemed to just simply look at the Kitten Pokémon unaffected by her cuteness. That meant the Marill was female. Preemptively yelling, Aiden would call to get Lily's attention, "Get back, Lily! Attract won't work on the Marill!" Aiden saw the blue rodent prepare herself before launching a beam of bubbles directly at his partner. "Lily!" The pink kitten would let out a cry of pain as the beam made contact with her. Catching his partner in her arms, he'd feel how weak she was getting before reaching into his bag and grabbing a Potion within it. Spraying it on his partner would cause her to let out a meow of relief as she calmed down from her injuries. Hopping out of his arms with a renewed fighting spirit, Aiden would look at the Marill, knowing that he would have to think a little bit differently to get this one to a point where he could catch it.

Aiden would glance at his partner while she moved her tail somewhat eager to fight. The Feint Attack that they used before wouldn't be as effective due to the Marill's typing however, he could probably manage by using another attack. Smiling, Aiden would say to his partner as she waited eagerly for a command. "Okay! Walk over to the Marill and prepare to attack." Lily would respond with a meow as she began to run at Marill using top speed. When she arrived right in front of the Aqua Mouse, Aiden would command, "Now, use Fake Out!" Lily would do a flip before slamming her tail mere centimetres away from the face of the wild Pokémon. The Aqua Mouse would let out a shriek of surprise as it fell backwards, flinching from the attack. Smiling, Aiden would follow up quickly while the wild Pokémon couldn't retailiate, "All right! Now, follow up with Double Slap!" Lily would let out a cry as she turned around and began to slap the Aqua Mouse repeatedly, causing the other Pokémon to let out a couple cries of pain. The sounds made Aiden feel a bit bad however. He felt bad for hurting a Pokémon even if it was the only proper way to catch them. Aiden would get Lily's Poké Ball out as he returned her to the Ball. Letting out a squeal of shock as Aiden returned the Pokémon, Marill would look at him with confusion. Walking over to the Aqua Mouse, he'd pull out the Potion that he used on Lily. There was still a little bit left actually. Spraying the Marill would confuse it but it let out a sigh of relief as the spray healed it's injuries. Patting the creature, Aiden would say, "If it means, I have to beat you to a near unconscious state, I don't think I want to catch Pokémon this way." Smiling at the Aqua Mouse, Aiden would put the Poké Ball in his hand as he looked at the Pokémon, gentle gaze staring at the shy creature. "If you'd like to come with me, I'd be glad to have you!" Aiden would wait for a response while he held the ball within his hand, understanding if the Pokémon would not like to go with him after they had battled it. "I'm sure Juno and Lily would love to have you around."
