An up-and-coming group of poachers are trying to make a name for themselves, help them break into the safari zone and secure enough wild pokemon without getting caught. Sadly, they don’t have much of a plan so it will be up to you the brave few signing up for this to figure out how to get in. Sneak in or brute force your way in either way it will be dangerous work but getting part of the cut and the offer of one the pokemon from the haul is tempting. Working as a gym leader, investigating the power outages, and training across the region had meant he was sorely lacking. He'd never been one to commit many crimes even when the Coldblood Crew was still around, but that didn't mean he didn't have the blood of a rogue flowing through his veins. This mission, made in conjunction with his Coldblood underlings was just what he needed to get him back into the swing of things. [break][break]
Roy and an unnamed partner would need to figure out a way into the Safari Zone for these aligned poachers to steal their fill. The gym leader had been to the Safari more than a few times, so he had a general layout of the place in his mind and a vague plan of what could held them get into the facility. The roster he'd brought along didn't include his partner in crime with Rack, but he figured the six he had on hand would give him a bit more versatility if things went awry.[break][break]
By a nearby digital clock, the it was just past two in the morning, and Roy was raring to go. He waited next to a heavy stone barrier, separating Tanba City from the Safari Zone, meant to enclose the pokémon inside while keeping potential poachers away from their prizes. He was sure he was at the correct rendezvous point, checking and double checking the information on his cellphone. All that was left would be for this new partner in crime to show his face, and Roy's super genius break-in plan could be kicked off. [break][break]

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] With Arcanine as his mount, Kyle navigated through the route and into the meeting place with a phone, whose screen displayed the map and the assembly point, on his hand. The time itself wasn't the problem, though he was starting to question his morality when he accepted the task at hand. The fact that he didn't even feel bad about it made him worry more. Curiosity was what brought Kyle here tonight, and upon reaching the place, he couldn't say that he recognized the Gym Leader as a Gym Leader. He was, after all, newly appointed and though Kyle himself was affiliated to the league to some degree, he did not bring himself to put in the effort to actually get in with their business. "Hello, hello," he'd greet from the darkness, still atop his Arcanine. "Are you here for the fun stuff?"The fact that he was doing this went against his virtues as a ranger, but then again, he could always just argue that he was trying to experience a poacher's point of view or something so he could understand better on how to deal with them better if he was questioned about it. Roy Case was a bit taken aback by the man's flashy arrival, but he tried to keep his bearings about him, clearing his throat and straightening his back. "The name's Roy Case, Kogane City gym leader, your master criminal for the evening," he told the guy. Looking the evening's partner up and down, Roy could only find that he'd suffice for the simple job. Though probably older than Roy, he looked short atop his giant, orange dog, and thus Roy figured he would need to seize initiative on the job.
"I hope you've got more up your sleeve than that puppy," Roy would tell the young man, trying to intimidate him, "I'm not looking to let anything stupid happen on this job, and the Coldbloods have some business riding on these poachers." Trying to even the playing field between him and the new arrival, he'd bring out his own pokémon, "Thuya, Onslaught!" Roy's gogoat and excadrill both appeared next to the base of the wall.
"Obviously," he would say confidently, "I've got an ace of a plan up my sleeve here. But, y'know... just out of curiosity, would you have any bright ideas you want to get on your chest before we get to work?"

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] "That's reassuring."He wasn't sure how to process the information. Stating his title and name was not the usual protocol from criminals from what he knew from all the movies and literature he had seen. The only ones brave enough to do that were either the small fry or the big names. Both of them end up getting caught by authorities though. Kyle opted to be skeptical about it, but he wasn't rude enough to show it. The bigger problem here was that he was a self-proclaimed Gym Leader. Kyle opted to ignore it though. "I'll do my best not to lag behind then," he played along, the slightest smile on his features failing his acting. He had Pokemon he was ready to call upon on as well, but held on doing that unlike what Roy did. He could wait for the right moment to do it if anything. He raised a brow after the gym leader had asked him for suggestions, straightening his back afterwards as his shoulders gave way for a shrug. "I'm just an amateur on this field. Can you let me learn from the master criminal?" It wasn't false though, but teasing the idea seemed like a good option at that time. Breaking in the Safari Zone should be easy. Doing that undetected and leaving the scene of the crime without leaving any clues required much more thinking than what Kyle would normally do. MADE BY NOVA

Roy Case grinned at the man. Getting called a 'master criminal' really gassed up his ego, which was already riding a high wave of adrenaline. "I've never been much of a teacher, but tall all the notes you like, rookie."
"Thuya, thrash! Onslaught, overpower!" At the alliterative phrases, both pokémon instinctively took fighting positions and Roy began his master plan. "All out attack! Onslaught, Rapid Spin, Thuya, Razor Leaf! Break through this wall!" Roy's excadrill took his drills to the heavy stone wall as his gogoat bombarded the barrier with sharp leaves. Both attacks produced a fair racket, but Roy didn't mind much, confident the attacks would pierce the wall soon enough, despite neither doing all that much damage to break through.
Instead of focusing on the progress made, however, Roy merely turned to his partner, planning to make idle conversation with the guy as his pokémon went to work. "By the way, I don't think I caught your name earlier," Roy raised his voice to speak over the incessant noise now going on behind him, oblivious to the attention it may have been attracting. "You wouldn't happen to think you're too good to pass on a name, would you?"

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] "We're breaking the wall?" It wasn't a smart idea, considering the wall was built to be made with the objective of keeping poachers out in mind, but Kyle already committed to the follower act and he can't back out easily. He didn't bring any of his hard hitting Pokemon in his Rhyperior or his Scolipede, although he did have something that could work. A fairly new addition to his fast growing collection of Pokemon, the Riolu he released did have the appropriate moves to help break down a wall. "Force Palm."Multiple palm strikes were done on the walk by the Riolu, each of them striking a single spot on the wall until a crack appears. If an Excadrill nor a Gogoat couldn't even break it, his Riolu for sure wouldn't. Concentrating his attacks on a single spot seemed to have made a difference to the wall though, albeit chipping away at a very slow pace. The thought of hiding his name from him since they were doing something criminal came to mind, though given that his name wasn't anything special and can be regarded as a fairly common one, he supposed there was no harm done as long as no surname was attached to it. "Ah, it's Kyle." No effort for a build up or whatever on his introduction was made unlike Roy's. "You should remember it. It's gonna make it more exciting for when I challenge your gym if you were to fight someone you know."A friendly note would suffice though, in his opinion. "By the way, is it working?" he badgered the master criminal. MADE BY NOVA

Roy Case smiled with enthusiasm as his partner sent another pokémon out to assist in the effort. With all three pokémon working in tandem, nothing at all was happening. "If you wanna go through a wall, doesn't it make the most sense to use a door?" Roy asked, confident in his common sense logic to carry them through the mission.
"Yeah, Kyle, nice to meet you!" Roy smiled wide at the name dropped by his partner. "You should beware, I've been told my gym is unique, discourteous and potentially in violation of certain rules. I'm kind of like the bad boy of gym leaders," Roy explained, nodding his head along. "Trust me, I know perfectly well how some personal stakes can spice things up a bit."
There was a long pause from Roy between Kyle's question and Roy's answer. The gym leader was hoping that soon enough, the combined might of the three pokémon would find light at the end of the tunnel, and they'd be rewarded with the completion of their job. But, after several minutes, hardly any dents or cracks had been made against the durable surface. It was as if the barrier had been specifically constructed to stand up to the powers of pokémon.
"Of course it's working!" Roy declared. "But, why work harder when we can work..." the rest of the phrase was on the tip of his tongue, but Roy lost it and moved on. "Anyways, why work harder, let's think this one out. Thuya, Onslaught, catch your breath!" With that command, both pokémon relented from their assaults, panting for air.
With his finger, Roy drew into a patch of dirt a long line, in his mind representing the barrier. "Okay, so the 'X's' on this side are us," he drew two crosses on one side, "the wall is that wall, and the triangle is our prize," he drew the shape on the other side. "So if we want to get to the prize without going through the wall, then... we have to go around!" Roy exclaimed, drawing a line from the 'X' in an arc around his diagram barrier. "Wait, no, the wall is a circle that doesn't work. Gah! This sucks! Why is stealing so hard?!"

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] "The bad boy, huh?" He's trying at least. Kyle would be kind enough to let him have this title, given that the other gym leader he was familiar with can actually be described as a stereotypical good boy. The Fusube gym leader does remind him of his Poochy 1 in a way, he supposed. "You're getting me all hyped up now."Challenging gyms weren't his main agenda when he started training his Pokemon, though he might as well do them if he doesn't have anything better to do. These musings, however, were to be shrugged away when a different objective was presented in front of him to be attended urgently. He patiently waited for Roy to answer him after he asked his question, watching their Pokemon do their best, albeit ultimately fruitless in the end. A slight smile from amusement came when Roy gave up and ordered his Pokemon to rest, Kyle following suit and motioning for his Riolu return to him and stop. "Or we can go under," he suggested after Roy's drawings. The only way to the Safari Zone was through the gate as Roy pointed out after all. "Your, uh, Onslaught," he eyed the Pokemon, it's species unknown for the ranger, "can he dig us a tunnel?" He looked like he could dig anyways. Kyle only had dogs, and dogs tend to dig for stuff on the ground whenever they're bored, but they definitely can't go dig a tunnel even if they tried. He had like five of them though, but still he wasn't sure if that would work. MADE BY NOVA

Roy Case looked from his diagram to his partner, to the diagram and back again in a rotation that lasted several contemplative moments. Slowly, he took his finger and drew a line through the barrier, as if to test out his partner's subterranean theory. "My goodness, how did you know exactly what I was going to say?"
The gym leader was embarrassed he hadn't thought of the idea first, and had to do something to save face in front of the criminal rookie he was facing. "Onslaught, change of plans!" he called the pokémon closer before explaining things in about as many words his partner had used. "You'll use a Rapid Spin in a long arc until we come out of the other side, alright?"
Roy's excadrill seemed to understand, putting a wide smile on his face. "Alright, drill through then! Thuya, use your vines to take care of all the dirt, partner." The gogoat similarly caught on, extending a pair of tendrils from the leaves around his neck, hovering in preparation for loose earth to be flung up from Onslaught's shallow starting point. "We got this, boys, now get us under that wall!"

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] Kyle watched as the Pokemon he wasn't familiar with started to finally do the work that might probably end to something. If the Excadrill was indeed as powerful as it looked like, he supposed that digging a tunnel would be a something trivial for it. They don't have all the time in the world to do it though, especially since the Safari Zone was a well secured facility. The time was something to take in account for, since they would be forced to stop as soon as the sun rises. He'll have to take note of the hole later and have the holes, literally and figuratively, in the safari zone's defenses patched up though. A muffled bark from the Arcanine alerted Kyle. It was always something important when the Fire-type speaks up, and so it wasn't even a debate for the ranger to look around for whatever the source of disturbance was. A pair of Growlithes had appeared, which he had assumed to be from the Safari Zone security making rounds. He wasn't sure if his hunch was correct or if they were simply wild Pokemon. Regardless, it was better to play safe. "Scare them with Roar," he whispered. Before the puppies could spot them, a low rumbling sound before a definitive bark came from the Arcanine's throat, effectively intimidating the smaller Fire-types and having them run back from where they came from. "We're finally doing it?" Kyle mentioned, his tone exuding excitement rather than the condescending tone he'd usually pair the words with. MADE BY NOVA

Roy Case was all smiles with their plan. Onslaught pressed onward through the underground and Thuya kept hard at work removing each small pile of dirt he pushed behind himself. "You know, this works out, my generator could start spreading throughout the entire region. I could really start to be some-" his explanation was cut off by a deafening Roar from Kyle's pokémon, interrupting the young man's boasting.
Shortly after Kyle's question, Roy would volunteer to dive deep into the earth. "Let's find out how close we really are..." Half sliding and half falling through the tunnel, Roy moved in a 'U' shape that Onslaught had tunneled, finally catching up to his excadrill just before he broke the earth. "Let's see what we've got here!" Roy would poke his head out from the small puncture his pokémon had made, only to find a guard standing right in front of his nose, startled by another growlithe's sudden appearance.
"Kyle, we've got patrol here!" Roy recognized the pokémon as distinct from the wild beasts he'd capture in the Safari Zone, as this pokémon sported a silver chain with a badge for a tag. "We need to chase this one down! Madcap, mangle!" Roy let out his donphan to pursue the next guard dog pokémon. "Rollout, see if you can catch up to it! This is a high speed chase now, buddy!" Madcap excitedly nodded before rolling up and shooting off into the night, barreling after the dog. What Kyle had deftly dealt with was going to be a serious struggle for the gym leader.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] The Arcanine went back to her ball while his Riolu went after his trainer shortly as Kyle started moving. Following after the gym leader through the tunnel, Kyle couldn't say that he liked the fact that they are now officially trespassing on private property as soon as they crossed the walls from underneath. He was to be branded a criminal now, though that was only if authorities manage to get a hold of him. He wouldn't allow that, of course. "More dogs?"The tone of his words reflected more enthusiasm than worry. As soon as he got out of the ditch though, Roy had already taken care of the problem with his Donphan. A disappointed "Oh," came from Kyle. Shrugging the problem off quickly, he climbed out, turning to see if his Riolu had been following, which he was. Kyle wasn't sure if the Growlithe was fine, but he knew that it wouldn't at least be a problem for a while. "What's the plan now?" he asked, dusting the dirt off of him. The found the way in for now, and while Kyle didn't read much of the job description, he had a faint idea of what was going to happen next. "Do we beat up the rest of the patrols now?" He was hoping for it to get shot down this time, knowing that it'll be troublesome if they kept beating up the guard dogs. MADE BY NOVA

Roy Case followed his donphan's pursuit through the dark night, trying to keep up with the chase, to very little avail. Instead, here merely had to wait in anxiety for a couple of minutes before Madcap returned clearly very giddy with her violent race. The gym leader finally let out a ragged breath of relief, leaning back against the tunnel.
Listening to Kyle's question, he nodded in thought for a moment. "Back in my rookie days, I always had the very important job of lookout," he told his partner. "I don't know how many patrols are out there... but maybe if we had some way to keep them away from here, we wouldn't have to look out for all of them!" Roy exclaimed, very satisfied with the conclusion he was drawing for himself.
"Madcap, Onslaught, maybe you two should return," he told his donphan and excadrill, recalling both to their pokéballs. "I'll go grab Thuya too," Roy told Kyle, crawling back through the tunnel. But, after he poked his head out the other side, he saw the two red dogs from before, flanking the figure of a uniformed patrolwoman. "Hey, Kyle," Roy said through the tunnel, "Maybe you should come back out this way..."

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] Being the lookout would be Kyle's preferred role in a job such as this as well, though that was more about him not wanting to be bothered to do certain tasks and simply do nothing for the most part. "That sounds much better than beating things up," he chimed in, the tone of his words indicating a certain satisfaction from hearing those words from Roy. He simply gave a nod to Roy as he went back to the tunnel to fetch his other Pokemon, Kyle awaiting on the other side in case more of those security Pokemon came in and investigated on them. It didn't even take more than a moment when he heard his accomplice call him back to the side they came from, bringing uncertainty to Kyle. Asking his Riolu to climb on his shoulder, he went back in. "What's the matter?" he asked as he followed after him and before poking his head out. Kyle could deal with a lot of bullshit life gave him, but being caught and tarnishing his otherwise untainted record of being a good boy got him nervous. "I-I can deal with the woman if you don't have any other suggestion," he whispered to Roy, clutching his Mightyena's Pokeball at hand. "I'm not sure if I can do that with the Growlithe at play though," he hinted, albeit discreetly. "Did you, uh, get your other Pokemon or is it still out there?"MADE BY NOVA

Roy Case was already stammering, but when Kyle's head popped up beside his own, the woman began barking just as loudly as her dog pokémon. She shot questions their way, accusations shortly after and her finger pointed everywhere.
Sweat rolled down Roy's face and neck. All for this stupid job, he was about to lose everything. Roy quickly saw visions of his standing back in Kogane plummeting to the floor. He envisioned losing control of his beloved Coldbloods. He saw months spent in prison paying for this stupid job. How could this be the right thing to do if it was making him so nervous? Roy was about to hurl at the thought of losing his beloved gym. That's when he suddenly remembered he was a gym leader.
"And, just what do you think you're doing here?" Roy barked, quieting the woman and her growlithes. He quickly flashed the girl his League credentials and badge, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt his membership. "My name is Roy Case, gym leader of Kogane City! All security personnel is to be cleared out for this emergency exercise!" He motioned to the tunnel and the damage dealt to the safari zone wall. "You are interrupting a very important operation. I did not travel all this way to be accused like this!"
The woman was halted, but she didn't seem quite convinced of Roy's gambit. "I've been working here close to five years," she told the pair of young men. "I've never heard of any security exercises like this. And, I had no idea anything like it was happening tonight."
"That is a perfectly good point," Roy observed. "But, I refuse to explain any further to you, woman. Kyle, take it from here!"
