Arashi tugged on the strings to his boot, tightening it around his feet. He was ready. Time to raise some pokemon levels. He had caught some pokemon, but they were still weak. Now was the time for him to raise their level. First, though, he would have Artemis take on a few of her greatest enemies, fire types. Word around Enju City was that a few poisonous and flaming pokemon were inside the burning towers. Of course, being the opportunist that he was, Arashi thought that this was the perfect moment to adjust his grass type pokemon to fire type battles.[break][break]
He had everything he needed for today. On his person was an all-black attire, with black boots, a black shirt, and black shorts. His pokeballs were held around his waist, and every other item that couldn't be carried around his belt was placed inside of his pocket. To be sure that he was okay inside the burning towers, he brought a flashlight and a few other supplies. The time was early in the morning. The perfect time to spot some fire type pokemon.[break][break]
"Alright." Arashi said as he stepped inside the burning tower. "Let's do this."

He was an extremely late sleeper and coupled with the fact that he usually slept in a lot, it ended up with him waking up in the afternoon. However, early this morning, his partner, Lily, decided to wake him up. The usually chipper and happy teenager was now extremely out of his element, and as a result, was grumpy. He probably would remain this way for a decent amount of time as his Skitty happily planted herself on his head while he went about his morning routine. She was extremely eager to explore the city and she wanted to start with the Burned Tower. Sure, it was a little bit dangerous but they wanted to get there in order to capture some Pokémon, so where's the harm in beating the rush of the tourists? Although, they could have afforded to wake up a little later. Grumbling as he put on a simple baseball cap, the young man would unintentionally slam the door of his hotel room as he walked out and headed over to the Burned Tower. [break][break] It was peacefully quiet on the way there, so much so that Aiden was beginning to doze off while walking. The Skitty atop his head took note of this while it pat it's tail on the back of his head. Snapping back to a little more of a conscious state, Aiden would shake his head as the scowl on his face became a little more prevalent. It was still way too early to be awake. Yawning to himself, the young man would be a little more annoyed when he saw someone else probably going into the Burned Tower for the same purpose. Trying to avoid running into him, his hope would be dashed as he saw Lily simply run up to the other man's leg. Letting out a deep sigh, Aiden would walk his way over to the black haired individual. "Sorry. She probably thought you looked interesting." Aiden would pick his Skitty up as she nuzzled into his touch. Sighing, the young man would reluctantly ask, "Since I'm guessing you are here to catch some Pokémon, please don't be too loud. It's a little too early for this." The grumpy mood that surrounded Aiden caused him to be brutally honest and not really filter what he said. As Arashi got ready to step into the burned tower, a skitty suddenly ran up beside him. Arashi stopped to stare down at it with confusion. Whose pokemon was this? Was it wild? It seemed a lot friendlier than those woodland pokemon that he met before. That meant that someone owned it.[break][break] Eventually, some guy did come and pick up the skitty. That must've been its owner. He apologized for his pokemon's behavior, and Arashi shyly waved it off. "It's alright." he said. The guy and his skittle seemed nice until he spoke a little more. Almost bluntly, he asked Arashi not to make any noise. Apparently, it was too early? That just led Arashi to wonder why in the world he was here in the morning.[break][break] That didn't matter. If this guy didn't want to hear Arashi, Arashi would just move off to the side, far away from him. The last thing he wanted was to get on that guy's nerves. Then the man would get on his nerves.[break][break] Arashi walked throughout the burned towers, wondering which fire type pokemon he would meet first. He'd been wondering if he should get a fire type to complete his team. Thus far, he had a grass type, a metal/flying type, a ghost type, and a useless water type. All that was left to acquire was maybe an electric type and a fire type.[break][break] As Arashi adventured through the building, he suddenly experienced something that made him jump in the air. A weird sensation ran across the back of his neck as if something wet and slimy just touched him. He looked around and saw a gastly staring at him with big, vicious eyes. Mischievously, it smiled at him.[break][break] "Okay.." Arashi said. "Ghost type... Not exactly what I was expecting." Surprisingly, he was very calm considering the situation. A long time ago, he would see a ghost type pokemon and flee the other way. He was really terrified of ghosts. Now, however, he had gotten used to being around ghosts. And, it was all thanks to Atè, his shuppet.[break][break] "Hmm." Arashi sounded as he tapped his chin in thought. "If I remember correctly, ghost types are strong against other ghost types... Maybe I should have Atè test herself out a little bit."[break][break] Arashi held out a pokeball, then tossed it in the air. It opened, releasing a cute shuppet. The shuppet circled around Arashi cheerily as a way of greeting him.[break][break] "Hey Atè Arashi greeted back. "We got ourselves a gastly to deal with. Are you ready to go?" The ghost gave a snicker before nodding her head. She looked to the gastly and grinned at it.[break][break] Gastly returned a grin, both pokemon seemingly acknowledging each other. The gastly, made the first move, extending out its tongue and flying at Atè.[break][break] "He's trying to go for a lick. Avoid it."[break][break] Atè listened to her master's words and began dancing around the gastly, avoiding its tongue. Arashi was impressed with his pokemon movements. She took advantage of the fact that she was smaller and faster than the gastly. Whenever the gastly thought that it caught up and was about to lick her, she would phase through a wooden pole, forcing Gastly to lick the pole instead. Arashi's shuppet was very clever.[break][break] "Alright now, strike it." he ordered. "Use shadow sneak to take it out."[break][break] His shuppet did as was commanded and extended her shadow past the opponent. The gastly looked confused as Atè suddenly disappeared. She reappeared behind the it, then gave it one extremely strong tackle. The gastly couldn't withstand the attack, and it went down immediately.[break][break] "Not bad." Arashi commented. [nospaces] [attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"]To be completely honest, based on the appearance of the young man, Aiden was have expecting to get into a fight but the other man seemed to oblige with his rather rude comment. Walking a little ahead, the young man would be left to his thoughts as he got over being sleep drunk. As a result, he felt more and more regret with everything that he said. He was making presumptions based on how the guy yelled in front of the tower and lashed out without really thinking about it. He should go back and apologize. Lily got comfier on Aiden's shoulder until she let out a meow in annoyance as she noticed a string with a yellow heart on the end snake it's way around Aiden's waist. The young man didn't really notice it as he was focused on making his way back to the black haired man. The longer he went without apologizing the worse he felt about it and continually dug himself into a hole of regret. He was more awake now so he was taking some note as to how taking steps took a lot more effort. It wasn't until Lily got the young man's attention by biting his ear. "Hey! Lily, why'd you-?" His questioning towards his partner would halt as he turned his head to gaze at the Drifloon that was attempting to carry him off. It seemed like it was struggling though. Aiden thanked the fact that he was somewhat sturdily built to the point where it was giving the Drifloon a hard time stealing him away. Or he just put on weight. Either way, the Drifloon wasn't going to get far if it was trying to carry him off. He was a couple of inches off the ground but he still held his confidence, that didn't seem to be there when he was about to walk over to the young man from earlier. "Okay, Lily, use Feint Attack!" [break][break] While doing that was completely logical, it was very obvious that Lily rolled her eyes despite them being closed. He knew what attacks to use because this wasn't the first Drifloon the duo have fought. However, it was the first time that Aiden was being held by a Pokémon and ordered her to attack it. He was probably going to fall, but she'd rather him be on the floor than be stolen away to wherever the Drifloon planned on going. The Skitty would run up to Aiden's head, seemingly innocently before swinging her tail towards the Drifloon and hitting it as hard as she could possibly muster. The Balloon Pokémon let out a cry of pain before letting go of Aiden completely, causing the young man to fall to the floor. Considering the structure of the tower was damaged in the fire, the floor beneath Aiden completely gave way, causing the man to fall a level. Or at the very least, it appeared that way. Luckily, he managed to grab a plank of wood that was still somewhat in tact. Lily glared at the Drifloon as she gently landed on the floor, not wanting to risk falling through herself or disrupting the piece of wood that Aiden was on. "Almost was a goner. Woops. Lily, finish it off with Feint Attack." Lily would nod as she leaped to hit the Drifloon once again. Swinging her tail in a similar fashion, it would make contact with the Drifloon completely knocking it away and into the hole that Aiden's fall created. The Drifloon was taken care of but now there was another issue at hand. Lily got to the edge of the hold and peered in, seeing her Trainer hanging on for dear life but putting on a calm face as he smiled at his partner. Lily let out a panicked cry as her eyes turned to the man who Aiden had been a little rude to earlier. [break][break] Heading over to the black haired man who had now had a Shuppet alongside him, the Skitty would let out a quiet cry of concern as she looked in the direction of the hole. Meowing, Lily would place her front paws on the man's leg before running back to the hole in a little bit of a frantic manner. Waiting at the hole that was a couple of metres away, Lily would meow somewhat loudly in her own way of asking him for help. Aiden felt himself sigh as he tightened his grip on the wooden plank. He wasn't in risk of it breaking or slipping but he would have to get comfortable because he wasn't quite sure how long it would take for Lily to get help. Screaming out for help felt a little bit too much. He wasn't in that much danger, the biggest concern was how long he would have to stay here. Sighing, Aiden would speak at a normal volume. "Is there anyone who can help?" Maybe a Pokémon could help him out, but that might be stretching it. Sighing, Aiden would look at Lily as she gazed in, worry displayed in her face as he smiled to convince her that he would be fine. But honestly, he didn't really know what would happen. [attr="class","tg4mBorder"] [attr="class","tg4mImg"] [attr="class","tg4mLine1"] [attr="class","tg4mBody"] [attr="class","tg4mText"] "Woah" Just as Arashi and Atè finished their battle, a man suddenly floated past them, nearly stepping over Arashi. "Isn't that... The guy from earlier?" Arashi noted as he watched the man go by. Apparently, he was being carried away by a drifloon. From the look on his face, it didn't seem to be by choice. "...I got a bad feeling about this."[break][break] Not even a second later, Arashi heard a crack, the sound of things falling, and an unsettling rumble beneath his feet. "Woah." he said. "Must be some fierce pokemon battle." But it wasn't a pokemon battle. At least, not for long. Arashi figured that out quickly when he heard the skitty cry out.[break][break] He saw the creature run up towards him. Her eyes were filled with worry. All that went through Arashi's mind was where is the owner? He followed close behind the skitty when she ran off and his eyes went incredibly wide when he realized where she was leading him.[break][break] Arashi couldn't hesitate. He needed to think quick.[break][break] "Atè, go below him and push him up from the bottom. I'll get his arms." he said. This day was supposed to be a mission to capture a pokemon, but it quickly turned into a rescue mission as Arashi found a man hanging off a plank, about to fall deep into a hole. [break][break] Atè listened to her master and phased through the floor. She got right below the man's thigh and used all of her strength that her little body had to push up. Meanwhile, Arashi leaned over the floor and stretched his hand out to the gentleman. The guy had fallen, what seemed like, a level down. But really, it was less far than it should've been. Arashi could still reach the man and help him up. All he would have to do is reach out.[break][break] "Can you grab my hand?" he asked the man.[break][break] Arashi would've thought this idea to help the man was right. However, there were two problems that suddenly arose. One was a ponyta and the other was a magby. They both came out of the shadows, likely drawn from the cries of the skitty, and looked at Arashi and the other pink pokemon threateningly. Arashi turned his eyes to see them and sighed.[break][break] "Ugh... Not now." he said. He looked down the hole. "Change of plans. Atè, there are a few pokemon up here. Come buy time so that I can get this guy out." He turned his head to the skitty and gave a soft smile. "You too. Don't worry, I'll get your human out of this, but you gotta draw them away so that can happen."[break][break] The shuppet came from under the man and floated up. She looked at the enemy pokemon, then gave a nod to Arashi. She could buy time. That was easy for her. She immediately floated over to one of the other pokemon, a Ponyta, and started moving around it. The ponyta tried to hit her many times, but each time was a miss. For being a shuppet, Atè was pretty quick and rather slick.[break][break] Great, Arashi thought. That'll keep them busy.[break][break] He turned his eyes back to the guy who was still hanging over the hole. There was no way Arashi could get this guy out alone. He wasn't very strong. In fact, he hadn't done a lot of exercises before. He hadn't even lifted a weight in his life. This guy would sooner fall before Arashi could summon the strength to get him out alone.[break][break] That was why he pulled out a pokeball and clicked it. White light broke from the device and flew into the air, taking the shape of a large bird. When the transformation was complete, a skarmory broke through the light and made a large caw.[break][break] "Athena, can you help me get this guy out?"[break][break] The skarmory flapped her wings, looking down at the other man's situation. She had a mean glare in her eyes that said she really didn't want to help him. However, Arashi had asked her, so she had to do it. Athena flapped down to where the man was. Luckily, the hole was large enough to fit her. She grabbed the man's shirt with her metal beak and beat her wings upwards. Arashi grabbed the man's hand and helped her pull him up. Within a matter of minutes, the man would be safe again on ground level.[break][break] When the guy was out of harm's way, Arashi turned around to see how Atè faired with the ponyta. It appeared that she had avoided the flaming pony so much that it tired itself out. All it took was one shadow sneak, and it went down quickly. [nospaces] [attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"]Aiden sighed somewhat loudly. It'd be typical of him to get caught in a situation like this, where he could probably end up dying. This goes to show that you shouldn't neglect your well being for the sake of Pokemon battle, but here he was, hanging from a surprisingly sturdy wooden beam. Getting out of this situation would probably be a lot easier if he had another Pokemon who would be able to help him out in this case. Sighing, Aiden would almost let out a shriek in surprise as he saw a Shuppet phase through the floor and fly right past him. Although, the shock wore off when he realized that this was someone's Pokemon and they were helping him. Feeling the support on his thigh, the brunette was able to get into a better spot by pulling himself closer to the shattered floor. He looked towards the opening where he saw the person who he was kind of rude to earlier. Cursing his poor luck even further, the young man would realize that he was trying to help, even asking if he could reach his hand. Stretching his arm, Aiden would be annoyed as he was just out of reach. "Wait, I'm almost..."[break][break] Thanks to the support of the Shuppet that was underneath him, Aiden was able to get to a better position on the wooden beam in order to grab the young man's hand. However, he would still have a hard time pulling himself up because he wasn't exactly the strongest person in the region. Sighing to himself, Aiden would note the loss of support from the Shuppet, which meant that she had gone to deal with something else that probably demanded attention. Aiden raised his eyebrow in surprise as he looked to Lily who listened to the black haired man helping him. "Lily, I'll be fine! Just take care of whatever is here. The sooner you can do it, the sooner that I'll be fine." Giving her a wide smile, the Skitty would nod in understanding as she ran towards whatever she was dealing with. [break][break] Lily would confidently walk over to the Magby, who was meeting her gaze with a somewhat nasty glare. The Kitten Pokemon was completely unfazed however as she slammed her tail down in front of the Magby, causing it to fall on it's behind, making it flinch in surprise from the attack. While the Pokemon was recovering, Lily spun and begun fiercely slapping the smaller creature with her tail multiple times. The slaps came in waves of two and hit a total of ten times. The Magby was extremely woozy after the repeated hits and in order to finish it off, the Skitty hit it with about five more slaps as a bit of a wake up call to the Magby. The poor Magby, didn't even end up standing a chance to the Skitty, who seemed confident as it ran away in a little bit of panic. However, the Skitty ran back to the hole to watch her Trainer who was still in a bit of stuck situation. [break][break] This time, a Skarmory was above Aiden as he held on somewhat tightly to the black haired man's hand. With a couple of wing flaps from the Skarmory named Athena and the man putting his effort into pulling him onto the floor, Aiden was successfully back on the floor. He didn't realize how worried he was until he was sitting up straight on the floor. The young man slowly stopped his legs from trembling and made his way to his feet. Smiling at the other man gratefully, Aiden would rub the back of his neck awkwardly as he spoke, "Thank you so much. I'm also gonna take this chance to apologize to you about earlier. I was a little bit tired and feeling somewhat snappy. Sorry." Lily ran onto her trainer's shoulder and nuzzled her face against his as a sign of showing that she was extremely happy that he was okay. Smiling, Aiden would look at the black haired man as he took the opportunity to introduce himself. "Ah, my name is Aiden and this Skitty's name is Lily. It's a pleasure to meet you, even if it was my fault that I ended up in that situation. Sorry for getting you involved from my carelessness." Aiden would smile as he looked at Lily who seemed to be eager to rest in her trainer's arms. Thank Arceus that he was okay. Arashi didn't want the thought that he had a guy die near him weighing on his conscience. He already had enough mental problems, he didn't need to add depression to the list.[break][break] When the guy spoke to Arashi, basically thanking him and apologizing for the way he acted before, Arashi smiled at the man and gave a wave. "Don't worry about it. I can kinda understand what it feels like to be snappy and tired." Arashi really wasn't the friendly type at night time. Once, he literally fought one of his brothers because they wouldn't let him fall asleep. When your mind didn't feel right, you were bound to be aggressive to someone.[break][break] Carefully, he stood up, making sure not to trigger the floor anymore and cause another section of it to collapse. He wasn't sure if he had any more strength to pull the guy or himself up if that happened.[break][break] He listened to the guy more as he introduced himself as Aiden, and his skitty as Lily. Lily... That wasn't a bad name for the cute little thing.[break][break] "I'm Arashi." Arashi spoke, pointing at himself. He then looked over at the skarmory. "That there is Athena." and turned back towards the shuppet who floated next to him. "And this is Atè." Since the shuppet coudn't wave, she merely did a twirl in the air as a type of greeting. Athena, though, scoffed and looked off to the side. She wasn't the type to greet other people.[break][break] "I don't fault you at all for your situation before..." Arashi said. He lightly tapped the floor with his feet, feeling it loosely dancing up and down. He no longer trusted this structure's safety. "This place is a little bit dangerous... It might be good to head over to the league and tell them about this hole. The last thing we need is someone else falling into it." Leaving was probably the better option anyways. The quicker they could get out of this place, the better.[break][break] He turned and prepared to make his way out, calling his shuppet back into his pokeball. Atè had worked hard today. Maybe he would get her and Athena something on the way back as a way to award them for their hardwork. However, before he could leave, Arashi was suddenly stopped by a Koffing and a Ghastly blocking his way. [break][break] "Looks like there is still some pokemon wanting to fight..." Arashi turned to look at Aiden. "I can handle the Ghastly... Do you think you can take on the Koffing?"[break][break] These poison types weren't very worrisome for Arashi. They all seemed extremely low in level. Arashi was sure that Athena could handle both of them alone, but he wasn't going to test it. He had learned his lesson about being cocky. It was better to be safe than sorry when it came to pokemon battles.[break][break] Listening to the man's answer, Arashi walked off to the side to deal with the ghastly.[break][break] "Be careful where you're stepping." he warned Aiden. "There's no telling where else you can fall."[break][break] Focusing on the Ghastly, Arashi gave Athena an order. "Athena, use razor wind!"[break][break] Athena listened. She flapped her wings, releasing sharp winds that soared and struct the ghost harshly. Ghastly rebounded from the wind and bounced against a wall. It came back from the attack surprisingly quickly, though, shaking away the pain as though it was nothing. Ghastly allowed its tongue to hang low from its mouth. It then soared forward, moving to lick Athena. However, Athena didn't like that. There was no way she was going to let a disgusting tongue drag across her body, even if most of her was metal.[break][break] She moved her head out of the way and dodged the lick. The ghastly soared past her, leaving its back wide open for an attack.[break][break] Athena jumped upward and extended her talon. She gave the Ghastly a terrifyingly sharp slash, taking it down with a Metal Claw. With that, the creature fainted. No sweat was given at all.[break][break] "It looks like...
