So Roan comes to Johto from the Unova region, the little town of Lacunosa. Population, not enough to really matter. Because of the closeminded nature of the town, Roan's parents kept her inside the city pretty much her whole life. The idea of letting their little girl go out into the wild by herself unarmed was... awful. She argued with it her whole life, as much as she could, but they wouldn't budge. However, her father finally gave her a decent compromise. When she became an adult she could take what they'd saved for her and become a trainer, or she could go to school and pursue whatever she wanted to do as an adult. But all she had ever dreamed of becoming was a trainer. In her later years, her parents saw her passion not just as a fleeting dream, but as a desire she couldn't argue. They bid her ado happily and continue to support her in her pursuit for whatever she may deem as happiness.[break][break]

So! With her parent's blessing, she made her way out! With a brand new Pokedex and a brand new Chimchar on her side who she lovingly and geekily named Knuckles because who wouldn't name their male Chimchar who liked to punch things after one of the most iconic video game protagonists?[break][break]

Truth be told Roan wasn't as sheltered as her parents would have hoped. She had the internet and learned all of the inside jokes therein. She had the Pokemon games to educate her in that sense, but she's just now experiencing it all full on. She can sometimes run her team a little ragged because she thinks of them as having hit points instead of having ... you know, actual health. Typically she just slaps a potion on them and calls it a day, not thinking that really they could use a good night's rest.[break][break]

Though a bit socially awkward at first because of her lack of getting out to any other town other than Lacunosa, she tends to think everybody is her friend and think there is little evil. Now, she knows a creep vibe when she sees one and knows how to steer clear. She's typically gutsy and tends to stand on the edge of dangerous and curious, always leading her into a bit of trouble. She's got a lust for battle like nobody's business and typically tends to want to battle people to make a bond rather than grab a coffee. Though she's not against coffee, and she misses it. It's her lifeline. She pushes herself onward from town to town via promising herself coffee, honestly.

Well, it's not as if she won't make them. Roan is extremely easy to get along with. She's the sort of girl that thinks if you send a friend request on social media and it's accepted than clearly, you're pals. Pals consists of people that she's willing to spend her time around. Friends are a bit of a stronger social link bond to her, though mostly they're just people she'd rather hang out with more than the other people, the 'pals.' Then of course there are the bffls, people she can't seem to stand living without. That's just how she ranks people. There are those super special connections she can't even begin to try and describe, those connections are deep and she wouldn't trade them for the world. Unfortunately, she'd never had one of those. So.[break][break]

Now, how to become a friend. Simply spend time with the girl! From random encounter turned 'let's be pals,' to deep bonds forged probably through battle, I don't know. She's just a whirlwind, this girl. She'll quickly do all the dangerous things that both parties know they probably shouldn't and yet she'd also be there to root on her friends if they've got a competition of some sort. She's the one who will be there, thick and thin, regardless of who they are or how strong a bond is. Why? Because, why not.[break][break]

She's a bit sociall awkward, so excuse her. She also likes to made dad jokes, use bad puns, eat too much food, act a bit more like a man than she should, and sarcastic comments. She might burp in public, she might end up snorting to try and hold in a laugh. The girl's pretty unpredictable, honestly.

Right, so Roan comes from a small town where if you went out at night a Pokemon would come and kidnap you. Her parents taught her to pretty much fear everything and... she did the exact opposite. Like proving to them she wasn't afraid would win her freedom from their traditions. It didn't, of course. Instead, it fueled her to be an overzealous daredevil with little fear for anything. On the outside, anyway. Of course, she has her doubts, but they never stop her from following her ... passions. Since she's never really had a dream, more of a drive, really. And she doesn't even want to be champion, though that'd be something cool her parents would find an achievment.[break][break]

I'm not entirely sure what sort of people would make her angry. Maybe people who do stupid things on purpose or pretend they don't understand a situation when they clearly do? Double-standards are annoying, she gets along with most assholes, people who betray her aren't fun. I'm not sure what else to write here? She's not even really against people on team Virus, just against the people within Virus that want to try and steal her Pokemon. She'll give them a black eye. Or at least try to.

She's straight, but, let's try everything? I'd honestly love every kind of romance plot with her, because she's never been romanced and I think it'd be a hilarious turn of events with a lot of 'uuuuuuh' moments for her.
