The bar was full of the soft noises Boss had become accustomed to at the days end; The soft purrs of a sleeping shinx, the clinging of glasses, and the low buzzing moan of his lit sign. It was getting close to closing time and the only thing between him and a well deserved nights rest was the remaining dirty glasses that needed cleaning and organizing. He had to admit, it was odd being back in the old fashioned Enju City after decades of being away from his hometown and to open a bar no less. He couldn't pin the feeling but something in him did all the convincing he needed to go through with the plan. A part of him was hoping some people from his younger years would rear their heads through his doors. Sure he got a lot of socializing done with his clientele but going on a nostalgia trip with some other geezers? Well, that's an entirely different feeling of camaraderie in age.
More glasses clicked and clanged on their shelves behind the bar and the gray Boss went back to running the water over more, brushing them with a soaped sponge and going back to the monotonous routine in the kitchen. He was proud to call this place his own, it was a small building compared to the more lavish restaurants with an equally average floor plan. His price afforded him a bar, small kitchen, dining area, cellar, and an office. Behind his bar he had a multitude of beer taps ranging from your usual big brands to small name crafts he'd picked up while in Unova. Racks of the many different wines and liquors he'd collected from around the world sat fully on display in glass cabinets stacking high enough to reach the ten foot ceiling. He'd decided the higher he'd have to go, the more expensive the liquor will be so he organized it so. "Okay, that's the last of em'." He exhaled, carting the last of his glasses to their display behind the bar.
He went around the bar, turning the tv on and took a seat at the stool. "Bit too late to see what any kid is up to in the league but I'm sure there's gotta be something on ta pass the time." He knew his bright 'OPEN' sign was still on but it wouldn't hurt to keep it on for a bit longer. He looked to the corner of the bar to see his Shinx still sleeping soundly in her bedding. "Yeah, just a little while longer."
