Vannah was grinning ear to ear as soon as she saw Johto land on the horizon. Somehow it felt like... home. Not a home that you grew up in, but a place that was in the process of becoming your home. She hadn't realized it until she left, but there was something about the region that just... felt right. Maybe it was the landscapes, or the pokemon, or the people. Probably the people. There was a lump in Vannah's throat as the boat neared the dock, eyes searching for a body in particular. It was really him that she was excited to see. The boat she was on wasn't particularly big or fancy, but it did have quite a few people aboard. That probably explained why so many people were waiting at the dock. Probably to meet family and loved ones, not unlike her. Vannah had all of her things already packed neatly into a couple of bags. She had almost worn her nurse uniform out of habit, but remembered that now that her trip was over, she could actually wear what she liked. Her pokemon were strapped to her hip and probably dying to get out and taste the fresh Johto sea breeze, but that could wait until they were settled ashore. It was time! The boat was docking. Vannah still hadn't found her boyfriend's face somehow, she thought he'd be so much taller than everyone else that he'd be easy to spot, but apparently not. She rushed to the ramp as it connected to the port, rushing forward with the group of passengers finally arriving to their destination. As Vannah molded with the crowds she started calling out for the person she had missed so dearly for the past few weeks. "Ken? Keeennnn?!" She shouted above the gaggle of people around her. She still couldn't spot him. He was here, wasn't he? A pang of anxiety flew through her chest. She quickly dismissed it. He had said he'd be here, why was she worrying? "KEEEEENNNNNNN!" Vannah cried in tandem with other people, everyone saying different names. Her bones were aching, dying to see him. | reasons you get along over the weekends. i got it bad, yeah im not sleeping, and every time i hear her name my heart is breaking 360 words |
