Here on VICTORY we have a set standard when it comes to thread types and we ask that players do not deviate from these, so that we can keep the flow of the site in a steady motion. Collectively it is easiest to simply [TAG] one of these fundamental terms onto the beginning of your thread title.[break][break]



OPEN [O]: These are the most common thread type set up by players looking for RP. Players are free to join without permission, including challenging the participants to a pokemon battle. Battles can range from traditional one vs. ones to double battles and rotation battles. Pokemon league rules state that a Pokemon battle is not be interfered with by outsiders.

CLOSED [C]: Another common thread type, these threads usually organized beforehand. They are private between two or more roleplayers and do not allow intruders unless stated otherwise.

FLASHBACK [FB]: A thread that takes place in the past. The time depends on the players, and are typically tagged with OPEN or CLOSED. If not otherwise specified, FB threads are considered closed.

ALTERNATE UNIVERSE [AU]: An interesting type that allows for members to place their characters in a different scenario or premise from the main plot. These are not as common, but can be either open or closed based on preference.

EVENT [EVENT]: These threads are used for special events and quests. Staff will also do events for rare Pokemon and in some instances legendaries. Events can also be organized by players, although staff approval is required prior to setting up an Event thread.

SELF [SELF]: These threads are for one-player interactions with their Pokemon in day to day life. On VICTORY, we encourage you to develop a deeper bond with your Pokemon through RP. These threads will allow you to understand both your character, your pokemon, and the relationship between the two better.

WILD [WILD]: These are the threads used for searching and catching wild Pokemon. All RP posting rules still apply. Wild Pokemon threads can either be open or closed, but we ask players to not interfere with trainers in the midst of catching Pokemon. PLEASE POST A REQUEST IN THE STAFF NOTIFICATION THREAD IF YOU WANT A WILD POKEMON APPEARANCE IN YOUR THREAD. All wild Pokemon that appear are staff given but not controlled. What happens then on is up to the players digression. [break]HOWEVER, if a player is meta-gaming and just auto catches a pokemon, that thread will be nullified and the player will be given only one warning. Players may have only a single SOLO WILD thread up each week, with the new week starting every Monday. Players may have an unlimited amount of DUO WILD threads, which require the player to interact with another member on the site while getting wild Pokemon encounters.
