[attr="class","victoriousscroll"]"Pom!" his cheery partner called out to him as he was chased, though abruptly halting and gaining a different, competitive demeanor. From the change in the atmosphere, before he even looked up, Alceides knew exactly what had prompted Momo to act in a new manner. The only time he'd ever seen her like this, was when there was a Wild Pokemon nearby. He couldn't believe his luck! He wanted to add a new member to his team and, just like that, there was going to be some interaction! Flames forged from determination begin to invigorate his whole body, excitement beginning to overwhelm him. Practice made perfect and, well, he needed alot of practice - and before that he'd have to decide what he was going to be practicing for!

Preparing to issue directions to his friend, he was stopped short by the appearance of their opponent. Though this well was very well known for them, he didn't think it'd be so easy to find one on his first visit. And yet there it was, sauntering closer at the speed of a grandma with very little interest shown in his spacey eyes. Yes, it was none other than one of the most aloof pokemon to ever exist - Slowpoke! That very same Pokemon was, undoubtedly, one of Alceides' favorites! Grinning from ear-to-ear, he couldn't help the child-like chuckle that emerged from his lips. He was just so gosh darned excited!

"Alright Momo, we have to give it our all! Let's start things off with a Tail Whip!" the boy commanded with his partner complying by leaping forward and spinning its body. The purple tail that it wielded ended in an extra hand, slapping the Slowpoke repeatedly. Despite being in the face of violence, the Slowpoke didn't seem to warrant the duo with much apprehension.

Opening its mouth wide, it released a curious looking cloud that seemed just as slow as the pokemon was. Due to his inexperience, Momo took the move in confusion while no immediate effect could be determined. It had seemed that there was no damage to Momo, so he shrugged it off as being a misfire.

"Okay, Momo, now hop into the air and rain down Swift!"

The purple monkey moved into the air, tucking its body, rolling forward while gathering energy within its third hand. Completing its aerial flip Momo would swipe her tail, releasing a flurry of stars down to the slothful Pokemon. Grinning in satisfaction, the young trainer tossed one of the extra balls hanging at his waist. He had imagined that the pokemon had probably been dealt sufficient damage to be captured, so it was a pretty decent surprise when instead the Slowpoke emerged. From their interactions thus far, he had assumed that the Pokemon would be too lazy to resist.

"Well, alright, then! Momo let's-" Alceides had begun to continue the battle, before being alerted of the snores that his Momo was making. The move that the Slowpoke had released earlier had been the terrible Yawn causing Momo to become drowsy after Swift, promptly falling asleep.

The Slowpoke, capitalizing on the opportunity, brought itself forward with a leisurely pace before tackling the Aipom. Taking the full hit, unguarded, his Aipom didn't yet awaken from its slumber. At this point, he was beginning to worry that his Pokemon might faint before their adventure even truly began.

"Come on, Momo! You can do it!" he cheered his friend on, as the pink Pokemon reared itself up for another attack at its lazy pace.

Perhaps due to Alceides' prompts, a groggy Momo recovered itself from the ground. Rubbing its eyes, well rested after a nap, it narrowly dodged the incoming Slowpoke. No longer tired, the Aipom shook itself free of debris and the grasp of sleep as both Trainer and Pokemon grinned in anticipation. This Slowpoke seemed to have more fight in it than the others, immensely slothful nature aside, and that interested the boy to no end.

"Okay, Momo, use Scratch!"
"Pom!"

Running forward, his Aipom would utilize its tail in order to deliver a scratch at the enemy. Missing, the Slowpoke managed a deft dodge before releasing another Yawn. This time, he was going to make sure that they avoided it.

"Dodge it! And use Swift, again!" he cried with excitement, thoroughly enjoying his battle with the wild pokemon.

Responding to Alceides, Momo dodged the cloud that threatened to force it to doze off and released a swarm of stars once more at the pink pokemon. Unable to dodge again, the stars collided with the Slowpoke once more. Though it sent a wave of déjà vu through the youth, he scooped up another ball at his waist and hoisted it at the target once more.
