Red wanted to be the Pokémon champion one day, and as far off as that was, he knew he needed to catch and raise strong friends along his journey. First thing he needed to do was level up the Pokemon he currently had with him. His Pichu perched on his shoulder as he strolled down Route 29 and entered some tall grass. While he had a Horsea in one of his pokeballs, his focus for now was his very first Pokémon. With that being said, Red and his Pichu entered some tall grass in hopes to encounter some Pokémon.[break][break]
The male trainer was confident in his yellow mouse Pokémon, I mean heck, they recently won their very first trainer battle! Both Red and his Pichu were pretty thrilled and wanted to do some more battles. As they waded through the grass, they kept their composure and waited for a wild Pokémon to appear. Truth be known, Red wasn't sure what type of Pokémon he'd run into here on Route 29, but since he wanted to also fill his Pokedex, he didn't want to skip any areas.

From within the grass, a small bird like Pokemon emerged and began to flutter in the air. It had a round, blue body. Its body appears to be all head. There are two long feathers on top of its head, and it has a short, rounded white beak and beady, black eyes. Its wings are fluffy and white, resembling cotton or clouds. It has tiny, white feet and two pointed tail feathers. The trainer took out his Pokedex and scanned the bird Pokemon. The species identified as a half flying, half normal, Swablu.[break][break] "Alright Pichu! You got this!" Red exclaimed toward his mouse Pokemon as it leaped from the ground and landed in front of its trainer. Red knew a decent amount about Pokemon and their type weaknesses thanks to his father. In this particular situation, he was aware that a flying type was weak to an electric type. "Start out with a strong Thunder Shock!" He instructed his Pichu. The small mouse began to charge electricity before it unleashed the attack on the opposing flying Pokemon. An electric shock darted toward the Swablu and impacted it forcefully. The blue bird seemingly flopped onto the ground and laid motionless. Red pumped his fist. "Great job Pichu!" The mouse Pokemon jumped onto it's trainers shoulders and happily let out its specific cry.[break][break] Pichu has defeted the Swablu with a Thunder Shock (Super Effective!) Training his Pichu had been going smoothly and as a reward, he fed the small yellow mouse some candy. Perhaps if he kept on training his Pokemon, he'd be able to challenge the first gym. It did cross his mind again to train his Horsea, but his focus remained on his starter Pokemon. The duo continued to walk through the tall grass in search of other Pokemon to battle. After a moment, another creature popped out from within the grass. Red pulled out his Pokedex and scanned the Pokemon.[break][break] Buneary is a small, bipedal, rabbit-like normal type Pokémon with brown ears that can curl up. It has two types of fur covering its body: a light tan fleece that covers much of its lower body, feet, and the tips of its ears, and a smooth chocolate colored pelt on the upper half of its body. It has a small, triangular pink nose, pink paw pads on the undersides of its feet, and small tan spots above its eyes. It has a small brown puff of a tail. The trainer then put his Pokedex away while pulling his cap down over his eyes.[break][break] "Ready for round two? Use Thunder Wave!" Red instructed his companion to use a move that if it hit, would paralyze the opposing Pokemon. Pichu formed small yellow waves around his body and then sent them flying toward the bunny Pokemon. It was a direct hit! A few moments passed and the brown bunny tried to move, but it couldn't! "Perfect!" Red exclaimed, "Now use Thunder Shock!" His Pichu preformed the electric move and it hit the normal type Pokemon. Red then assessed the movements of the Bunery and noticed it still couldn't move. "Pichu! It's still paralyzed, hit it with another Thunder Shock!" Throwing his hand forward, his companion released another shock of electricity almost simultaneously with his trainers movement. Upon it hitting, the Buneary fainted and laid motionless on the grass. Red cheered and picked his yellow mouse Pokemon on his shoulder. They would continue their search for wild Pokemon.[break][break] Pichu has defeated the Buneary with a Thunder Wave and Thunder Shock (x2). +5 Lvls (2+5; Rare Candy & Defeated Wild Pokemon) / Pichu is now Lv. 14! Red and his Pichu had just defeated another wild Pokemon and did it with relative ease. The trainer reached into his bag and got another rare candy and fed it to his companion. Suddenly his yellow mouse Pokemon began to illuminate a bright white light. Red shielded his eyes from the light until he noticed that it began to fade. Red was surprised and immedeitly whipped out his Pokedex. Pikachu is a short, chubby rodent Pokémon. It is covered in yellow fur with two horizontal brown stripes on its back. It has a small mouth, long, pointed ears with black tips, brown eyes, and two red circles on its cheeks. There are pouches inside its cheeks where it stores electricity. Red pumped his fist, his Pichu had evolved! A wonderful sign for any trainer as it not only signifies the Pokemon is getting stronger but also the bond with its trainer. He newly evolved friend looked up at him and a friendly 'Pikachu' escaped its small mouth. "Hey little buddy! Lets look for one more Pokemon and test out your new evolution?" The yellow mouse Pokemon nodded in agreement. Just on cue or perhaps a coincidence, another Pokemon emerged from the grass. Just as before, Red scanned it with his Pokedex. Aipom is a monkey-like Pokémon with a three-fingered hand at the end of its tail. Its fur is purple, while the skin of its face, inner ears, belly, feet, and the tip of its tail is beige. On its face are a usually cheeky smile and round, blue eyes. Supplemented by its round ears, Aipom's head is disproportionately large compared to its body.[break][break] "Okay, Pikachu! Try out Volt Tackle!" With that command, Red's Pikachu charged up electricity within its body and then bolted at the target, crashing into with tremendous force. The monkey Pokemon flew back a few feet before landing on the ground. It didn't move after that. Pikachu, however, grimaced a little bit as it seemed to take some recoil damage. Red picked up his companion to make sure he was okay. After a quick check up, he patted his Pikachu and then sat him upon his shoulder. The duo had completed some good training and it was finally time to take a well deserved break.[break][break] Pichu has defeated the Aipom with a Volt Tackle. +5 Lvls (2+3; Rare Candy & Defeated Wild Pokemon) / Pichu evolved into Pikachu and is now Lv. 19!
