Percy didn't exactly enjoy being told what she needed to do and not do, but she didn't really mind either. She was one to take things with a grain of salt, after all she didn't talk much around strangers and so when they entered the falls she was sure to stick by him. She couldn't get the chance to get lost to begin with. Jackie was staring the boy down now, narrowing her eyes as the bird felt a sudden surge of protectiveness over her trainer. It was then they ran into their first pokemon. An Omanyte, in which case she knew for a fact she didn't want to catch the thing. Given permission to have at it - Percy decided that it was about time Jackie could do with some training anyway. With it being a water rock type though it was going to be a long drawn out battle. "Jackie." Percy was begging that the bird actually listened for once. Jackie however wanted to out show that turtwig so she had no qualms, letting out a chirp as she flew in front to confront the water type.

"Be careful Jackie, hit it with a Growl to start off okay." while the Omanyte didn't cause much damage either they still were in for a long dragged out battle. Hopefully the boy wasn't going to leave them behind. The Starly nodded her head - sending out a fierce growl it certainly was going to drag it on that way. The pokemon could higher its defense making Starly have to hack at him for a few moves. The Omanyte hit by the growl already was crawling forward - using a Leer against his attacker. "Aerial Ace now!" Percy called out. Already it seemed her Starly was going to be lowered in defense, as Jackie flew upwards she spun downwards with sharp wings. Hitting the pokemon straight on it stumbled backwards. Wiggling the little noodle arms that it had. Suddenly it curled into its shell. Percy recognizing its withdraw and breathing a curse word. This was going to be tedious more than it would be difficult.

"Use another Aerial Ace and watch out for its next attack." Percy said as Jackie screeched, she did exactly as she was told. Adrenaline and enjoyment coursing through her she was beginning to enjoy the time spent with Percy. Battling with her wasn't so bad, as the bird came down on the omanyte he was right back with a constrict. His long arms grabbing her from the air and hugging the bird close, she struggled as she felt her air being pushed out of her. Percy looked on in worry, until the starly broke free and took to the air once more catching up on her breath. Percy looked at the omanyte, they had at least dented him. She could see from his scuffed shell and heavy breathing they were getting to him.

"Use Growl again." just in case. The Starly let out a growl towards the Omanyte, seeing as it could use Leer than it would make it easier to make sure it didn't get an advantage on them. The omanyte shook itself as the growl wrecked through its body. Just as Percy predicted the wild pokemon Leered at her starly. Jackie shivering for a moment her health also had been dented, but Percy believe they could get through it. "Quick Attack!" this would change things up. The omanyte couldn't match up to the flying types speed. Jackie whizzed through the air, flapping her wings with grace as she picked up speed. Then tackled straight into the pokemon making the omanyte fly backwards. Now they were getting somewhere. The omanyte had to be at least half its health from before.

The pokemon attempted to use another constrict, however Jackie stayed out of reach. Managing to dodge the attack as Percy smiled, they had this they could most definitely do this. "Aerial Ace" Percy called out another move. As Jackie turned back around, she made sure to keep her target on as she used the attack towards the other. The Omanyte hissed with irritation as the move hit, managing to tangle the starly once more in constrict. Causing Jackie's speed to lessen as she flew upwards panting. Percy frowned, this pokemon was definitely putting up a big fight. She had nearly forgotten that she had entered the cave with someone else.

"Another Growl Jackie lower its attack!" Percy said as the Starly let out a fierce growl once more. At this point the two of them were obviously tired. With over half of the omanyte's health taken out, Percy took a deep breath hoping that they could pass things off. The water rock type let out yet another Leer - putting the starly at three less of defense that she had but she could say the same to his own attack. "Alright Aerial Ace again, just keep hitting it Jackie!" the battle was reaching its climax. As the bird struck the other, the omanyte used another Leer. Jackie frowned, if she was hit by more of his constrict if could be a problem then again as long as it wasn't using withdraw they would be okay. "Quick Attack." Jackie zoomed forward, the omanyte getting hit directly in its shell as it cracked. Drawing itself into its own shell out of fear and wanting to raise its defense but this... this was the end.

"Make this the best Aerial Ace you've ever done." Percy whispered as the Starly rose herself as high as she could. Her eyes glinting as she smirked. Flying gracefully through the air as the Omanyte watched its doom come to him. As the Starly hit him head on he finally caved. Losing consciousness as Percy recalled Jackie to her. The panting starly deserving a stroke to her stomach. "Good job." Percy said as Jackie puffed her feathers up. Feeling herself being engulfed with energy.

Another couple of water types showed up. At least pure ones, Percy wasn't all too pleased, then again it would make for a great experience so there wasn't much of a problem. Already he'd gone after the staryu leaving her with the goldeen swimming around in the waters. She knew exactly what to do, pulling another pokeball out from her pocket. She release out Tucker the hoothoot, the bird hopping back and forth from foot to foot. Jackie had been eager to please so when Percy pulled Tucker out she screeched. Flapping her wings mildly as Percy flinched, "It's tuckers turn Jackie." in other words the Starly was going to have to calm down or she risked being thrown into her own pokeball. Whatever, she could at least see how her rival did in a battle anyway. Which it wasn't going to take long.

"Use hypnosis Tucker!" Percy called out, as the owl let out a soft wave of hypnotic proportions. The fish flew up into the air, prepared to use an attack before the beam hit. The fish fell limp in the water, the Goldeen unable to use an attack as that was exactly what Percy wanted. "Alright Tucker use peck!" She ordered out and the hoothoot rushed forward, it's sharp beak pressing into the scales of the sleeping pokemon. When it's next turn came around it was still under. "Use echoed voice until it wakes up then!" Percy then called and the hoothoot was more excited now. A move that got stronger as it went. For the next two turns the goldeen was hit by these attacks. When it came to... it came back with a vengeance. Pecking the hoothoot directly on the head as Percy frowned.

"Finish it off Tucker! Peck!" The hoothoot shook off the previous attack. As this was the final stretch, he moved forward and sent his beak flying at the goldeen. The pressure causing the pokemon to faint as he returned to Percy's arm to perch. He had gotten rid of the goldeen a lot faster than Starly took out the Omanyte. This made her jealous, but it simply meant that Tucker was a very good pokemon to battle with. When Percy turned to Andrew he had asked if she needed help, the girl smiled. "O..oh no I'm sorry." she didn't think trying to intimidate her would work much. Since now.... the goldeen was defeated.
