[attr="class","sinbody"]What had emerged behind an icy pillar was a rather odd Pokemon, and certainly one he had seldom seen. Though he was aware, this was a Snorunt. They were an odd species, much like Ralts, whose evolution depended solely upon their gender. Such a Pokemon was incredibly fascinating, and he knew right away that he'd want to add him to his team. His weakness for ice-types seeping through, he called for Slothy who had recently leveled up enough to learn a new technique. Thanks to their trials and tribulations, they were finally beginning to show some results.



The Snorunt was ever eager to begin the battle, first releasing a freezing wind that lowered his partner's already terrible speed, also causing him some damage. Thanks to the fact that he was a Water-type, however, it wasn't as effective as it could have been. As the Snorunt prepared a frosty orb, this one lighter, he called out to his Slowpoke.

"Intercept his Powder Snow with your new Water Pulse!" he commanded, the Slowpoke gathering his own orb of energy from his mouth before launching it at the Snorunt. The Snorunt, however, released a Powder Snow which collided with and froze his technique.

Using the ensuing mist, the enemy dove forward, almost like a bullet, and opened her mouth widely in order to clamp her teeth into Slowpoke with a devestating Bite. Landing a super-effective hit, Slothy cried out in pain and outrage. It was usually this point that he began trying a bit harder.

"Use Yawn while it has you!" he ordered, the technique being an immediate success due to the Snorunt, initially, refusing to let go. After the attack, she had most likely gotten a bit scared. Releasing her grip, by throwing the Slowpoke, she prepared a Leer.

"Counter it with Curse!" Slothy began to glow with energy, before his defense and attack power rose while cutting his speed. After the Snorunt used Leer, his defensive capabilities returned to what they once were. Charging forward, preparing to Bite him again, the Slowpoke prepared a water orb at the behest of Alceides.

"Use Water Pulse! Keep it away!" he demanded, successfully blasting the Snorunt with water. Unfortunately, the Pokemon didn't gain a confused status. Thanks to the fact that it wasn't super-effective, the Snorunt kept driving through in order to deliver another Bite.

It was a scene that Alceides had seen all to often lately, vicious Pokemon biting into his poor Slothy. And in return, they'd suffer a long sleep filled with pain. Though teeth did sink in, the Snorunt immediately fell asleep after fighting the drowsiness as hard as she could.

"Just for good measure, deliver a hard Tackle!" Complying with a rough charge, Slothy caused the Snorunt to slam against a wall but it remained immersed within her dream.

"Finally, showcase that dazzling Water Pulse one last time!" he ordered his Slowpoke, who obliged and shot another aquatic orb toward the slumbering Snorunt catching it completely off guard once again. Excited, he grasped one of the balls at his waist and hoisted it up and over in his overzealous attempt to capture the Pokemon.
