The first pokemon to appear was far less frightening than the situation made it out to be. From the darkness a small poison type pokemon appeared chuckling as if mocking the professor's trek through the darkness before preparing itself for battle, after all even if the pokemon thought it fun the frighten the trainer he and the larger steel type was still intruding upon the stunky's territory and that wouldn't be accepted. Azad swore as he first caught a glimpse of the poison type annoyed with himself for getting so riled up for something so small before calling the spiked psychic pokemon to the forefront scanning the enemy pokemon with his pokedex before continuing.

"Dark and Poison? Hmm..." Eyes would trace the creatures outline as it stood in the light projected by his flashlight before ordering Aros to strengthen itself with iron defense. Sensing that the battle had begun the poison pokemon would begin something of an offense attempting to poison the steel type with a noxious cloud of fumes to no avail, if anything it made the trainer close by only angrier having to inhale the disgusting fumes caused the trainer to break down a bit before stepping outside of the cloud. He'd remember this next time the man had a battle in an enclosed space. Through an assortment of coughs the trainer ordered the metang into it's next technique a Metal Claw which quickly forced the steel type forward before slamming one of it's massive hammer like arms into the small skunk pokemon knocking it back into a wall. Due to the steep difference in level the small pokemon didn't stand a chance falling unconscious as soon as it hit the wall.

Despite the pokemon having fainted It seemed somewhere in the crossfire of that one and final attack the rodent managed to injure Aros, not grievously but enough for the trainer to notice. Before he could go and heal the pokemon,however, the priority of the two was to move far enough away from the poison gas that still seemed to linger in this section of the cave, and so the slightly injured Metang and its trainer would escape deeper into the cave.

WOW OKAY WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS ELDRITCH ABOMINATION FROM THE FUCKING UNDERWORLD?

The two had continued forward Azad only stopping when the duo long clears the poison gas its effects still lingering on the boy while the pokemon remained immune to any kind of poison. It was at times like this Azad fancied and appreciated his own preparedness. If the man hadn't kept antidotes on him he'd be on his way to an early grave, or at least an extremely uncomfortable tip back to town. The Metang would turn every so often worriedly glancing back at the silver haired, until finally he affirmed his recovery by tapping the large steel pokemon on their back.

Before the two could progress however there was another pokemon that stood in the duo's way, it was a pokemon that the trainer could only imagine living in this terrifying ass cave. As if it was composed of a myriad of souls the pokemon wailed upon being seen by the trainer its ghostly presence forcing the trainer back immediately preparing metang for battle his more than a little wary of the spiritomb. If only by habit alone the man would slide his pokedex reading whatever information he could about the dual dark and ghost type pokemon the lore behind it scaring the man further as he ordered the first technique.

"It's a dark type, we can't back down here Metal Claw."Aros and the trainer had the type disadvantage, but that wouldn't perturb the team two much Metang quickly starting off with a metal claw it's glowing steel arm slamming into its opponent as quickly causing a ghastly cry from the bound pokemon a multitude of voices screaming from the rock it was partially stuck in. In response the pokemon would disappear in the darkness (doing little for the trainers nerves) before reappearing above Aros and slashing into it with a purple claw like appendage dealing the most damage Aros had taken on this journey.

Still the pokemon would fight onward refusing to give up. The initial Metal Claw had raised the attack of the pokemon and so when Azad called once again for the technique with its boosted power the Ghost type pokemon quickly fell to Aros' power. despite his fear of the bound pokemon Azad would chuck a pokeball at the dark type pokemon it's power and physiology both extremely interesting to the trainer. After a number of rings in the ball it's shaking would end a dull beep confirming the capture.

While Azad initially wanted to continue on the spiritomb had done a more than fair amount of damage to the steel pokemon and with that in mind the two would retreat from the cavern hoping to take it down another day, perhaps when the duo was just a little stronger.
