As she approached the lake, taking note of the green scenery, a beautiful song filled her ears, and she was able to recognize the harmony of the pokemon Lapras. Peeking over the small hill she saw the large pokemon off the shore of the lake and grew excited. "Oh wow a lapras!" she cried out, finding it to be really cool that they had a Lapras here at the reserve.

with her safari balls in her hand, she wondered if she should catch the pokemon, and with an eager grin she looked down at Usagi. "Okay Usagi use thunder to weaken the Lapras!" she said, the Mareep waddling up to the shore and with a heavy cry a large flash of light illuminated and with a loud crack of sound the lightning pierced through the air and struck the Lapras for heavy damage.

Water types were weak to electric types, though the Lapras didn't seem quite as phazed by the attack as Haruka would like, so she ordered Usagi to use thunder once more, except this time the Lapras was unresponsive, as in it fainted -unresponsive. Usagi, jumped up and down with delight, but Haruka's jaw dropped in disbelief. She had apparently overestimated the Lapras' condition and now it was seeing stars and would be unable to be caught.

With a defeated sigh, Haruka picked up her Mareep pokemon and circled around to a farther spot down the lake to fish. The thought that such a cool pokemon eluded her was disappointing, but watching her squirtle bath in the lake was a more fulfilling thought. However, a sudden light began to glow off of Usagi, its body altering and changing in color as it began to evolve. Apparently its victory was marked as a large milestone for the electric pokemon as it now turned into a flaffy.
[break][break] "AH! USAGI YOU ARE A FLAFFY NOW! I'M SO PROUD" she screamed before running forward to hug the pokemon in which its necklace of wool still gave her a paralyzing static shock. "OW~"

Haruka's frame lowered itself, moving to sit on the grassy shore of the large body of water, and letting out a long winded sigh. She got so caught up in her pokemons actions that she missed out on a great oppourtunity but more importantly Usagi had evolved, and was busy admiring herself in her reflection off of the watery surface. Haruka smiled softly at her friend, happy that her pokemon was pleased with the efforts it made, and she was no longer upset about missing out on the Lapras.

Taking the time, she waved over all of her pokemon, handing out portions of pokemon food for all of them to partake in. However in a place such as this may not have been the best, as she didn't take into account the nearby wild pokemon that would possibly desire to eat the food as well.

A sudden splash of water got her attention, causing her to turn face to the lake, though there was only ripples in the water now. Haruka arched a brow in curiosity, approaching the edge of the water to see if there was anything or anyone that could have produced the sound. Much to her expectation, yet still to her surprise, a swift blue body dashed back and forth close to the shore. It was a pokemon!
[break][break] Getting an idea, she took a handful of the pokemon food, plopping a few pieces in the water and watching a few bubbles pop up as the water dwelling pokemon ate the delightful substance. Haruka smiled before throwing in a few more, slowly leading the pokemon to the shore, where its small linear body finally appeared from the water. She took the available moment to get a quick scan of her pokedex to identify the pokemon.

[break][break]Blue hues glistened, eyes widening in surprise as she looked down at the eating pokemon. She knew that she had to catch this one but she had never encountered a dragon pokemon before, and she didn't know what they were weak to or even how powerful they were in return, but she had to take the chance.
[break][break]"Usagi!" she called out, the dragon pokemon taking notice and cocking its head in return, "Use cottonspore!" she ordered it, though it would be a new move she just learned, this was optimal time to practice.
[break][break]Following its directions, the pink colored flaffy would shake its body vigorously, letting plumes of its wool static cling to the water dwelling dragon. The amount of sticky cotton would slow down its speed tremendously, but it was still able to retaliate against them, knowing escape was impossible. After a verbal coo, the Dragon reared back and spun its body, its aura replicating a harsh twister of water, dust and wind to buffet flaffy in return.
[break][break]"Endure it and charge your power!" Haruka told Usagi, having an idea that this pokemon was powerful and it would need a strong electric move to even be weakened enough for battle. Through the howling winds of the twister, Usagi illuminated, steadily charging up its power, but even after taking the time to charge its attack, the Dratini was not fast enough to move while still being slowed by the cotton spores.

"Okay Usagi! Use Electro ball now!" she said, a ball of electricity growing above the flaffy's head before being thrown at a high velocity at the Dratini. It was a direct hit, and was enough to almost send it into the watery depths, but instead it laid on the grassy shore and Haruka quickly took out a safari ball.

Expanding the ball in her palm, she threw it with quite a bit of force, it opening to capture the dragon pokemon in its red beam of light and the ball landing on the ground with a heavy thud. In her mind Haruka pleaded that it would stay in the ball, but there was always the possibility of otherwise. This pokemon would also have to choose her in return.

Her expression was intense as she awaited the satisfying click that would signify she had successfully caught the Dratini. However at the last moment, the Dratini had enough strength to escape it's ball and flee into the water. Haruka wasn't gonna just sit there and let it get away however, getting Genbu's attention as she removed her bag from her shoulder and took off her shoes.
[break][break] "Genbu chase after it!" she ordered, the squirtle Pokemon's ability to swim fast making it capable of such a feat. Diving into the lake, she grabbed onto the shell of the tortoise pokemon as it quickly pursued the dragon. The two of them resurfaced, the streamlining light blue body of the Dratini still in vision as they swam farther out onto the lake.
[break][break] Now came the process of luring it into an area where she could actively throw another ball. Luckily for her, there was what looked like a small island nearby, and the three of them were headed right for it. "Genbu use tackle and get it onto land!" she ordered the water pokemon before letting go of its shell and swimming for the island herself. She trusted her pokemon to do as he was asked, and she knew he was more than capable. Not even a dragon could beat a water pokemon in its element.

A jet like trail was all that was left behind and Genbu closed in on the pokemon, slamming its body into the dragon and knocking it above the surface. Haruka breathed heavily as she crawled onto the surface and pulled out one of the safari balls from her pocket. The Dratini, quite flustered tried to use twister once more, however Haruka was ready for it. "Genbu use Mirror Coat!" she said, the squirtle glowing like it was covered in a waxy coat. Genbu took some damage from the attack, but it's amplified recoil caused the Dragon type to get twisted up in it's own attack!

This was her chance! Rearing her arm back, she threw the safari ball at the Dratini, it's red light ensnaring the pokemon once more. Again the heavy ball fell to the island she stood on, the impact form the object reverberating with a dull impact. One wiggle, two wiggle... with fingers crossed she waited for the click. Hoping that she conveyed her emotions enough for this pokemon.
