Route 37 had a reputation to it that Eric couldn't say he quite liked. In fact, he had made a point through his pokemon hunting career to avoid this particular route at all costs. The wild pokemon were rumored to be quite aggressive here as opposed to the more passive ones found in other routes. It wasn't uncommon to hear of trainers coming here and leaving roughed up. In fact the issue was so common that it no longer made the news.

So why was the trainer here? His sleeping Starly nestled on his shoulder and the bouncy fire type paving the way ahead? One of his instagram rivals had been posting a personal challenge set of pictures, making his way through the route of ill repute. And boy had it been getting some serious likes!

Doing the only thing that seemed logical, Eric decided to copy this man's idea and head straight for a place he dare say made him nervous. Eric had put on a brave face for his pokemon, doing his best to make it seem like this was simply another outting. Starly hadn't pretended to care one way or another but Cyn had made his own feelings rather well known on this particular excursion.

With must effort he had managed to convince his long term companion that it was a good idea to come here. So now that they were here, Eric would anxiously look around at every shadow for an aggressive pokemon's attack.
