For once, the brown/red haired female wasn't snarky nor selfish as she looked at the obvious excitement of Ashley, unable to help herself from giving an obvious roll of her eyes, but, there was definitely a small, very slight smile to her lips. "Make her strong." Vivian would offer her words of congratulations to the other trainer with a little wink, "I know you can do it." To some, the words might've been a bit taunting - if not slightly challenging. But, there was little doubt of the sincerity that dwelt within them as well.

The sudden attention brought to her aerodactyl as he messily ate his 'well earned' catch made her cringe. She...really had to make sure he didn't try such a thing with Frederick's azumarill or she'd never hear the end of it. At least Ash's gyarados didn't mind his messy habits, as the dripping scarlet splattered onto the water type's face. "He's always hungry," the female sounded slightly annoyed, a sigh leaving her lips. [break][break]

"That's a cat thing, right?" Vivian asked with a quirked brow - easily picturing the large feline like creature she'd met multiple times before pouncing - and playing - with something like...a Pichu or something. It was...morbidly a bit amusing.

"I...guess." Vivian muttered, shaking her head. She was about to ask Ash if they could finally leave, but, paused when she noticed a dark shape suddenly darting towards them - large in side with a particular, ripped fin slicing clean through the water. A...shark? Whatever dangling bits of the mauled water rodent that hung from Valefor's talons were suddenly snatched clean from him, as a sharpedo jumped through the air, sharp, dagger-like teeth crunching down on the remaining flesh and swallowing it. The sudden movement was enough for even the prehistoric predator himself to be a bit appalled, a snarl of rage echoing from his jaws at his stolen meal.

However, Vivian would raise a hand to pause her pokemon before he could rain down his mighty fury, her gaze locked on the pokemon that swam through the dark waters near the group - obviously not threatened, as it searched for more food. "...It's mine." Vivian would only speak to Ash before - recklessly - sliding off of the gyarados. Now...yes, she didn't like water...And yes, she had just scolded Ash for doing the very same thing only minutes ago but...She wanted it. Sharpedo's were tough - having natures that she couldn't help but respect. This pokemon was made for her - and if it meant putting her stupid, and slightly crippling, fear aside for a brief minute....She could do it, sure.

And so, recklessly, she dropped into the dark waters, he chest tightening in slight terror as she realized there was nothing but deep, dark waters beneath them. However, the more potent danger of the sea predator before her pushed the thought aside. Thankfully, the sharpedo didn't immediately attack. Instead, intelligent dark eyes stared back at her from where she swam in front of it, possibly awed by the woman's courage. She took in the sight of the Sharpedo - it had a notably ripped dorsal fin as well as countless other scars. It really fit the role as 'bully of the sea'.

But...how to convince it? Maybe do what Ash did?

"You're already the top dog of the sea, right? Don't you wanna be more than that?" The female would begin with a small shrug and lopsided smirk, "we're strong- I'm strong. Why don't ya come with us?" It was...a somewhat weak attempt, but, it fit her well enough. The wild pokemon only stared at her though before letting out a slight scoff - it wasn't convinced.

There was a predatory gaze in the shark pokemon's eyes - one that she was all too familiar with. When she had first came across her infamous aerodactyl, he had nearly eaten her. But, after proving herself to him, the pokemon had came around to see her as his trainer - not beneath him nor a meal. Maybe this sharpedo was the same way? She could see the multitude of scars that glistened over her form like war paint - it was a tough one. And she could respect that. If anything, it made her want the pokemon more. She kept thinking back to Ash, and how she'd manage to smoothly convince the seadra to join her. Maybe she could say...? No...Oh, what if she could convince it to-

She was never one who was good with words. She'd probably just piss it off if anything. If she wanted to prove herself to the 'bully of the sea,' she needed to show it that she was just as tough - and in the only way she knew how.

"Sharpedo's are all about toughness and shit, right?" She'd give a wicked grin, holding out an arm towards the sharpedo. "Take a bite. It'll be the only free one you'll get if you tag along with me anyway, so make it count." The sharpedo stared at the trainer as though she was insane. After all, who the hell willingly let a damn shark bite them? Sure - Vivian would admit this wasn't her smartest idea. Hell, she could already see the face Azad or Frederick would give her when she had to explain why she 'nearly bled out in the middle of the sea'. But, this was her way of doing it - a way no one but her could do. "C'mon, take a nice, big bite. You're not scared right?" Perhaps taunting a shark of all things wasn't really...smart. But, whenever she had an idea, it wasn't in her nature to back down from it.

Without a second to spare, teeth would sink into the woman's arm, blood streaming and easily turning the water around them crimson. The Sharpedo, at least, had enough kindness to not bite down too hard - likely bewildered by the woman's odd proposal - as well as not just rip her whole arm off right there. Vivian herself would wince as thick, sharp as hell teeth tore into her skin like knives. However, the girl's cocky smirk wouldn't fade in the least. What type of 'strongest trainer' couldn't take on some shit like this? Tch, this was child's play.

After a moment, the pokemon would swim backwards, teeth sliding out from where they bit into flesh, causing a new stream of scarlet to leak from the woman's now injured arm. "That good enough for you, or you need the other arm too?" She'd ask the the shark in a rather snarky tone, who, in turn, only hungrily licked the scarlet from its lips. Still, the sea creature looked pleased. With a low growl, the sharpedo would tilt its head downwards, to which Vivian would respond with pressing a Fast Ball to the pokemon's snout. With a single click, the pokemon was sucked inside of it.

Almost immediately, Valefor would pick the woman up with a single taloned foot, partially tossing her back onto Ash's Gyarados. Pocketing the pokeball which had, hopefully, caught the shark pokemon, she'd grumble, looking down at her bloody mess of an arm. Maybe...she'd gone a bit too far this time? With a sheepish, yet arrogant as always, grin towards Ash, she'd ask, "you...know how to deal with shit like this? Salt water's getting into it, and it hurts like a bitch."
