Seriously, she swore half of these people had sticks up their ass or something. Thankfully, after threatening to do battle in the middle of the city, people seemed more inclined to adhere to her request of providing a battle space. After sending a quick text to Ava that 'she was ready,' she was, surprisingly enough, patiently waiting for her opponent to appear. The idea of a fight happening soon, surprisingly enough, left the red and brown haired individual in a 'good' mood, despite her earlier troubles. [attr="class","twobeenotes"]

[googlefont=Fira+Sans|Playfair+Display] [attr="class","firedand1"] MY DEAR, WE'RE --  it had to be fusube. she supposes it's fitting, seeing as how she swore she would only return once she became strong; powerful was the word she used.
the last time she saw vivian, her father had fallen ill and had specifically asked for his daughter. after all the things he'd done to her; how he'd treated her; she still adhered to his request because deep down, a part of her cared.
a part of her still cares.
regardless, the battlefield's set and awaits her presence. she soon graces it, arriving not a minute late. she greets vivian with a soft smile. "nice to see you again, vivian." not much else needs to be said. her eyes stray past vivian to gaze at the large battlefield they've been granted permission to battle on.
the land stretches out, equaling the size of a football field, maybe even larger. large rocks litter across the space, providing cover where needed. apart from that, the barren land remains untouched.
"two on two. we can start when i reach the other end." as she starts walking, she spares vivian one glance back and smiles. "good luck." | |

That was the only greeting Ava would receive from her. They were't friends - and Vivian could respect that. They were trainers who both sought power - trainers who embraced being what a trainer truly was without any stupid pleasantries. And that was possibly what Vivian liked about the other woman.[break][break] "Heh. Won't need it." The brunette would simply respond in her usual cocky tone towards her fellow trainer, otherwise agreeing with her conditions. It only took a few long moments, but, finally, both fighters were at each ends of the field. It was time. [break][break] "Lets go," the simple command echoed from her lips as a bright flash engulfed her side of the arena. The flash died down into two forms - both large in their own rights. A loud roar echoed, followed by a shrill snarl - Asta and Valefor. The tyranitar and aerodactyl stood side by side, utterly prepared for combat....until Asta saw who it was. The tyranitar let out a little needy whine - but, before he could stomp on over to the woman and engulf her in a hug, a single, sharp, "no," from Vivian halted him in his tracks. [break][break] "Get ready, you're fighting," she uttered a simple warning out to the two, and that was all it took for their demeanor to change. Sand steadily poured from the gaping holes on Asta's body, enveloping the whole field in a massive sandstorm whilst Valefor automatically took to the air, hovering just overhead. [googlefont=Fira+Sans|Playfair+Display] [attr="class","firedand1"] MY DEAR, WE'RE -- tyranitar and aerodactyl—how predictable. and boring. asta's little dance and whine doesn't go unnoticed. ava plays the part, even giving it a friendly wave before it's halted by its trainer. she soon reaches the other end of the barren battlefield, taking her position as she watches the scene slowly unfold. tyranitar's SAND STREAM causes dirt and sand to rise, soon picking up momentum as it spins across the battlefield, engulfing it in a massive SANDSTORM. but she's prepared for it; her whole team's prepared for it; because it's their specialty. her hand finds two pokeballs, calling out her aegislash and swampert. "quickly adapt. this isn't a regular battle."pellets of dirt and rocks pummel against ukko, but for the most part, he remains unaffected. ava draws her hood up and covers her mouth with a scarf, squinting as she tries to make out the battlefield through the thick sandstorm. "saga, you're on tyranitar. it's slow. don't stop moving." as soon as she finishes, saga speeds off, bracing the sandstorm. "ukko, the aerodactyl. it's fast but it can't turn. outmaneuver it."her instructions are clear. the battle commences. ukko's preemptive STANCE CHANCE puts him in BLADE FORME as he flies ahead. saga's already started her battle as she reaches tyranitar's front. once close, she leaps to the side and uses her HAMMER ARM to attempt to slam it into tyranitar's stomach. the aegislash soars through the air, slicing with a SWORDS DANCE. his speed is unparalleled, nothing dares combat him as he attempts to ram his entire IRON HEAD into the aerodactyl's wing. swampert / 100%

Right before the swampert's empowered fist could clash against his body, jagged pillars of stone would erupt from the ground in front of it. They'd fall victim to the powerful hammer arm, crumbling into mere shards. The Stone Edge, of course, wasn't enough to completely halt the water beast's attack though. A fist would slam into the gargantuan tyranitar - buffered by the previous defensive move. It hurts still - but Asta doesn't move, standing in place and glaring down at the swampert like the unmovable titan he is.[break][break] "Counter, power-up Punch." A clenched, glowing fist would move, aiming to strike the swampert in the side of her head whilst she was close - perhaps even locked into place now that she was slower. Violet eyes would slide towards the aerial battle overhead. While she wasn't a fan of playing on the defensive, it'd need to be done. "Valefor - tank it with your own iron head," she'd watched as the massive head of the winged titan steeled itself over, his wings folding inward as his head turned downwards to meet with the swords bladed body, creating a sharp sound of metal clashing.[break][break] "Hold it!" She could see the pain in the aerodactyl's flutter as he was forced not to succumb to the empowered might of the aegislash - but, would not falter. He was the king of the skies - this steel/ghost type was in his domain. As their attacks met and clashed in the form of a struggle, he'd remain aflight - unmoving. "Grab it before it can change - Fire fang," she'd command. Fire would cloak the aerodactyl's large maw, as he'd lunged forward with unadulterated speed, attempting to grab the pokemon's blade and sear it with intense fire. [attr="class","twobeenotes"]

[googlefont=Fira+Sans|Playfair+Display] [attr="class","firedand1"] MY DEAR, WE'RE -- "take it."don't avoid it, ease into it; or in her case, charge straight in. the tyranitar's POWER-UP PUNCH connects, boosting its attack. saga follows the momentum of the blow, taking to the ground only to swing her HAMMER ARM upwards a moment later. take an attack and deliver one back. that's the core training that ava follows. regardless of the outcome, saga crouches down low then springs backwards, creating distance between her and the tyranitar. ukko's IRON HEAD connects with a similar power; the impact causes a loud bang! that sounds across the battlefield. through the thick of the sandstorm, ava catches a glimmer of red but doesn't instruct her aegislash to do anything. ukko takes the FIRE FANG, but doesn't stay under the clutches of the aerodactyl for long as a swift PURSUIT sends him flying towards the tyranitar. still in his BLADE FORME, ukko slashes his SACRED SWORD at the tyranitar, floating close enough that dodging becomes a high task. swampert / 80%

Crafty bitch." Narrowed violet eyes would witness the barrage of powerful attacks focused specifically on Asta, who'd try to fend them off as best he could. "Take it." Tyranitar's, despite their multitude of type disadvantages, made up for it with their impeccable strength and defense. Vivian knew it would take more than a couple of hits to bring the massive pokemon down. However, as both pokemon's attack hit their mark, she saw the tyranitar crumble, barely hanging on - one more hit, and he'd be down for good. [break][break] And, that was fine. She could work with this. [break][break] "Throw it to the ground - finish it," Valefor moved first, easily catching up to the Aegislash with a single flap of his wings. Both he and Asta would soon brutally gang up on the sword pokemon, as Valefor would use a single Fire Fang immediately after the blade pokemon's 'Sacred Sword' had hit its mark in attempt to throw it off balance. Should fiery fangs manage to sink into it, the prehistoric pokemon would throw it towards the ground. Asta himself would let out a frightening roar, as a single slam of his heavy tail to the ground utterly demolished the battle field in an Earthquake. [break][break] The wide spread attack would, hopefully, not only hit the Aegislash, but, catch the swampert off guard too. Whilst the thick sandstorm made it harder to locate the water/ground type, the trainer hoped it would make it harder to predict the attack coming. All the while, Valefor's own typing prevented him from taking damage from the disastrous attack.[break][break] Valefor himself would retreat back upwards into the air to gain the higher ground.
