Vash had promised to take Scythia to a dojo so here they were. The scyther taking classes alongside the great barrage of fighting types. They were currently just going through the moments but apparently later on they would do some sparring. Something he didn't doubt his fight happy scyther was happy about.
As supportive as he was of her he couldn't find himself that interested in watching. He gave a brief motion to her saying he was going outside but she continued on like she didn't care. Which Vash figured was about right as he headed through the doors. He slipped out of the guest slippers back into his shoes as he left and sat on their small wrap around.
When one thought of a traditional town they probably thought it'd be quiet. Yet with all the dojo's one may actually find it hard to find a quiet place. It wasn't just in the dojo's either. A lot of them liked having matches outside as well.
Though the town was so small it practically blended in with the wilderness. So it wasn't uncommon for the two to meet. While Scythia was in there training maybe he aught to take time to train his other pokemon as well. Goodness knows what they may run into next. Hover for Levels |

People that recognized the young Courier waved, happy to see her return, but knew she would not stay for long. Visits to this place were kept brief. She wanted to spare herself from the memories that were attached to this town.[break][break] Riding down the old cobblestone streets on her bicycle, she knew it'd be best to leave. She had dropped off her latest package. There was still work to be done... but the streets ahead of her were crowded. Pokemon and people were mingling in crowds. She could take one of the smaller side roads, but the girl knew the area well enough that they would branch back into the wilds where pokemon could try and interfere. Who hadn't he let out in a while to train? Vash pondered the thought and immediately thought of Belle. He hadn't let her out besides t give her ice cream as an apology for his rock climbing fiasco. With a click, he let her out. The lapras instantly nuzzling him as he stepped down off the porch.
"Hi, Belle," he said petting her head the lapras enjoying good ear scratches. A noise of delight coming from the water type. "I haven't let you out to roam in awhile." There wasn't any water for her to swim in around here burn she still had her large fins to walk with. His attention had been solely on her so it took him a long moment to realize someone else was there.
"I'm sorry are we in your way," Vash said lightly pulling Belle off to one side so she could get through. Her bulk knocking into a trash can and disturbing something sleeping inside. The magnemite coming out with a can sticking to its magnet. It gave an angry buzz of electricity at being disturbed. "Ah, sorry."
It wasn't having any of that though. It tackled the much larger pokemon bouncing right off her shell like it was nothing. Belle on the other hand just had to swing her head around slamming into it as it righted itself into the air sending the poor thing flying. She cocked her head looking more confused than anything.
All right well it'd try this then. It made a loud booming noise startling her. She gave a heavy slap with her back fin trying to move the noise away and knocking it out cold in the process. Not so much a fight as it was a slapstick comedy. She turned her head back to her trainer with pouty eyes that made him pet her again. She really was too gentle to be a rangers pokemon, wasn't she? The sight encouraged Jenna to smile, though she tried to keep it to herself. Lapis, her own Lapras, was resting in storage back at the Pokemon Center. She had a fondness for the gentle-hearted pokemon. After raising her own, she couldn't help but glance to other examples of the species and see how they were similar.[break][break] “Nah. You two are fine,” Jenna said when the trainer offered to move. “The entire road is packed, anyway. I was just waiting on it to clear up–” She was interrupted by the arrival of the magnemite. That conflict did not last long. One flipper slap was all it took to knock the floating magnet unconscious.[break][break] Jenna allowed her eyes to drift back to the road, spying something yellow staring at her. “Hm?” An abra. The creature was harmless. The Ranger was content to just ignore the psychic type, presuming that it had teleported into Choji by accident. It would leave of its own volition. All of the activity in the city attracted curious pokemon. It wasn't surprising. Choji was such a sleepy town that any noise was worth investigating.[break][break] The abra flashed out of sight. The Ranger sighed, knowing she had been right–[break][break] It appeared back in the middle of the street. Except for this time, it was clutching something in its hands. Something that Jenna recognized. It was her wallet and the creature was eagerly digging through it. “S...Seriously?” Fine. Guess she would have to deal with it after all.[break][break] Jenna fetched a pokeball. “Gomorrah.” Tapping the release button, there was a flash of red light as the floating Shuppet appeared next to Jenna. “Phantom Force.” She ordered, sparing the ghost-type a small glance to see how she would choose to respond. The ghost-type had been raised by a different trainer.[break][break] They were still adjusting to each other. The Shuppet, who was still trying to gauge Jenna, abided by the command. With time, they would see how their relationship would grow. Jenna was naturally wary of the Ghost-Type. She knew that the Shuppet could sense it–maybe the ghost respected it. It was hard to tell.[break][break] And the Abra would watch the ghost vanish from sight. At first, it might have appeared that the Shuppet left the battle entirely. That was false. She reappeared behind the Abra and dealt her attack. Belle was really too large to be in the human-sized streets. Though it seemed to be commonplace for pokemon to wander into the cities. So much so that even as the woman retrieved her wallet a shadow passed overhead. Large metallic wings beating against the air as it examined the streets below.
"It is rather noisy today isn't it," Vash said looking up. He recognized the species thanks to a previous encounter. The bird was roughly the same size as an average human and easily three times if not more as strong. He had pondered catching one to use for flight but had decided against it awhile ago.
The steel type circled back around noticing the fainted magnemite an easy target to eat. A diet high in metals and minerals was great for the steel type. It swooped in but found itself much too large to fit with its wings spread out. The bird angerly swiping at the lapras that made the street too small for it to fit.
Yelping the lapras backed away knocking the round pokemon under the porch and farther angering the steel type. She spat out ice shards in response and Vash bolted for cover as the fight ensued above his head. The ranger quick to look back as the bird shook off the ice by sending waves of cutting air at the lapras. The ground around the water type showing the strength of the wind as gashes cut into it.
Another barrage of ice knocked the steel type from the air though. Its wings numb from the cold and its steel scratched by the shards. It stood there a moment glaring at the lapras who gave a whimper. She had just been defending herself. It gave an aggravated caw its prize beyond reach and wings cold.
It gave one last peck at the lapras making her scrunch her face up as it left a mark on her head. Then it walked away shaking its wings to try and get feeling back into them. Belle looking to her trainer with sad eyes. She had been happy to be out but why did they always find trouble.
"We'll make time to visit the lake," Vash said returning her. The lightly injured lapras was simply not made for this. "She's much too gentle a soul." He commented turning his gaze back to the woman and her shuppet. "Are you alright?"

After winning the fight, Gomorrah floated above Jenna, lost in her own thoughts.[break][break]
The Ranger chose to ignore the ghost and her sulking, knowing that the Shuppet was eager to find fault with every success that came her way; Gomorrah could never see the good in anything. If she won a battle, she would lament the smallest mistake. As the ghost prepared to spiral into another spell of depression, Jenna tucked her wallet back where it belonged.[break][break]
That was when a large shadow passed overhead. Jenna stopped mid-step, her head raised to follow the steel shape that had blocked the sun. A Skarmory? Figures. Her hand reflexively twitched to the pokeballs on her waist, knowing that she possessed a fire-type that could make short work of the bird; but, that was not necessary.[break][break]
The Lapras was too large. The obstruction was enough to drive the steel bird into a rage.[break][break]
Jenna stepped away from the unfolding battle, knowing it would be unwise to linger too close. The whimpering of the Lapras caused a pang of sympathy to strike at her chest. They were gentle pokemon. Battling was not to their style. They were best left to travel across the seas than deal with hostile assailants.[break][break]
She was tempted to order Gomorrah to interfere, but that was when she nearly tripped. Her foot had collided against something solid. Something blue. The Ranger had encountered a Wynaut. The tiny psychic pokemon seemed offended by the accidental misstep. It hopped up and down, preparing an attack to retaliate against the boot that had nudged it so suddenly.[break][break]
“Hey, come on. Is that necessary–” It started to glow. Okay. This was happening. “Gomorrah. Sucker Punch,” and the battle was ended by that swift strike. There was a clear disparity between the strength of the young psychic and the Shuppet; it made Jenna sigh and rub the back of her neck. That hadn't been fair, but the Ranger knew it was that or face whatever move the Wynaut had been preparing.[break][break]
“I'm alright.” The girl responded to Vash's question, noticing that his battle had ended as well. “Is she okay? I got a few berries... just to spare you from making a trip to the nearest Pokemon Center.”

"Ah, she'll be fine. She was more scared than anything I think," Vash said happy at her offer. "She a pretty gentle soul so she doesn't like fighting much. Keep her on my team as support mainly she's great for keeping any fires under control."
"Vash Parker," he said offering his hand. "I'm a ranger so she kind of has a hard job. I don't try to push her too hard though. I don't want Belle to lose that gentleness that makes her so beautiful."
Meanwhile inside Scythia was smirking pridefully at the small buneary before her. Her matches had all been too easy so far. The scizor lashing out with a punch strong enough to break bricks. The buneary responding by jumping high in the air so she missed. It's small foot rushing at the steel type only to be blocked with one large red claw. Her claw opened up grabbing it out of midair before throwing it across the room.
The buneary got up bruised from the force but still able to fight. She rushed forward again jumping into the air and kicking over and over again. The scizors claw blocking the kicks with relative ease. Fighting moves didn't work well on the steel/bug type even so she could feel the beginnings of her armor starting to scuff. It was time to end this. She reached around with her unblocking hand giving an uppercut of a brick break. The buneary sent flying into the wall earning a cry of pain. The much larger scizor watching to make sure it stayed down. It's trainer tending to it.
Vash jumped as he heard a thud against the dojo's wall. Scythia the first thing coming to mind. He hoped she wasn't overdoing it in there. Though he was more afraid of her tearing the place down than actually getting hurt. His gaze going between the wall and girl with a sheepish smile. One that faded as he noticed a tauros coming down the path behind her.

Jenna nodded in agreement. The man was right. A Lapras was great for anyone that wanted a pokemon to support them; her own Lapras filled the same role. Good for fires. Good for travel. Her Lapras only battled when it was necessary. The young Ranger would never want to change that. She had grown close to her own gentle giant and wanted to preserve her through any means necessary. It was the least she could do.[break][break]
“Jenna Wright. Ranger as well.” She took the outstretched hand and gave a firm shake, something that may have been surprising.[break][break]
Her eyes drifted, attracted to the bright red shell that shielded his Scizor. That was a pokemon that wanted to battle. The moment it entered into combat with the approaching Buneary, she sensed that the battle would land in the bug's favor. “Seems like your pokemon got a little bit of training out of all of this. Choji isn't always this... busy.” The Shuppet leaned close to Jenna as if she were a cloud of doom and gloom. Sensing that Gomorrah was in no mood for conversing, she withdrew the ghost back into her capsule. She would dampen anyone's mood.[break][break]
But, something was coming. Jenna turned her head back to Vash, watching gaze look over her shoulder. The fading of his smile alerted her of the problem.[break][break]
Her hand dropped to her waist one more time. A gentle tap released one of the members of her team. Tink the Togekiss emerged, her wings outstretched and curved around Jenna's shoulders as if she were a shawl draped over the young woman's shoulders. “Tink.” That was all the indication that Jenna needed to give. The flying fairy outstretched her wings and took to the skies, spying the charging Tauros with a smirk that had pulled at her features.[break][break]
That was when there was a crack; a snap. A noise so loud that it made onlookers flinch from the intensity of it. In a world where pokemon could perform Extreme Speed, people would understand that the sound came after the light. The crack came after her Togekiss collided with the bull, interrupting and then overriding its momentum. The bull was tossed from the ground, left to spin backward until it and the dust settled.[break][break]
Tink was the victor.[break][break]
“Well. That was a bit much.” Jenna turned to view the results of the fight, having never taken her eyes off of the male Ranger. “I should get going. I'm on a tight schedule today,” and these battles had taken up more of her time than she had anticipated. “Nice meeting you.” She hopped back onto her bike as Tink landed atop Jenna's shoulder, smug with the results.
