Whatever Poochyena had TACKLEed from within the grass let out a pained roar. It was the side of a Tauros that Poochyena had definitely and accidentally tipped over onto its side. Not only was the bull normal type embarrassed as it struggled and flailed to get up, it was enraged. The look it gave Natalia's Poochyena was intimidating and it caused the Poochyena to shrink in its own confidence a bit. The large cattle Pokemon turned its sights on the Poochyena before unleashing an attack filled with its own RAGE.

Natalia whistled before shouting out a command. "Fall back!"[break][break]

Poochyena's ears perked to listen and she only managed to scurry away after the attack had hit.[break][break]

"Don't let that big cow intimidate you!" Natalia ordered. "Growl!"

Poochyena quickly GROWLed, hair bristling. The Tauros reared it's legs up and proceeded to attack based on it's RAGE once more.[break][break]

Natalia whistled yet again, following the command with her voice so that her Poochyena would partner the noise with her command. "Fall back!"[break][break]

Seemed the Poochyena was starting to get the hang of it, leaping back and avoiding the Taurus' attempt at an attack. Though honestly, the blind rage the creature was engulfed with was leaving it wide open.[break][break]

"Aim for his belly! Use your side to your advantage!" A snap echoed through the air and Poochyena ran forward and beneath the stampeding feet of the angry bull. Once below, Poochyena TACKLE straight up into the Tauros' ribs. The attack seemed to knock the very wind out of the bull, causing its eyes to bulge and a groan to escape it. It tried it's hardest to gain the wind back but simply ended up staggering off, defeated.[break][break]

In excited glee, Natalia ran over and dropped a snack for the Poochyena, bending down to give her a good rub. Houndour even lovingly bit the newcomer dark-type's ear. The feat of taking out a Tauros so quickly? It was brilliant![break][break]

"You were so good! Well done, Poochyena. So well done!"[break][break]

A happy bark left her and she sniffed around and licked up crumbs of her snack off the ground.[break][break]

A familiar spark caused Natalia and her two pups to look up and at the Magnemite that effortlessly floated toward them. It seemed as if it wanted some snacks as well, or perhaps it sensed the tension and wanted to see if there were any sources of energy nearby to drain power from. Either way, Natalia smirked and bent down, moving her hand over Poochyena endearingly. She let her other hand move over Houndour in the same manner, dropping from both as she rested her arms on her knees while knelt beside the two.[break][break]

"Let's discern what you two working together is going to feel like, hm?" Her eyes never left the opponent, eyes fixed on the Magnemite as it looked around and floated about effortlessly. "Pooch, let's have you get the Magnemite to the ground, focus on getting it within the range of Houndour's Ember. One Ember after your Tackling it to the ground should do the trick..." She spoke to the two pups. Houndour was intently listening and nipped at Poochyena as she nearly got distracted by everything. This pup seriously had a lot to learn and it was beginning to give the Houndour a headache.[break][break]

Natalia noticed the tension and knew the battle ahead would ease it a bit. "C'mon you two, teamwork! Ready?" She lifted her head back up to the Magnemite and tilted her head to the side as she tapped her foot, waiting.[break][break]

Both pups had their eyes on Natalia. Poochyena might have been waiting for another snack, but she understood that as Natalia stood she'd have to do something for that other snack and she wasn't opposed to it. Instead, she was excited and her muzzle even showed a small growl in an effort to hype herself up a bit. Houndour kept her eyes forward and on Natalia. From her face to her hands, ears focused on the sounds that her trainer made. Poochyena looked to Houndour and then up to Natalia.[break][break]

Once the Magnemite had its eye turned away from them, Natalia waved her hand for them to go, a snap leaving her fingers. Houndour didn't budge and Poochyena dumbly sat there, until Natalia huffed and snapped again. Oh! Her cue, right! Suddenly the Poochyena sniffed the air and bolted toward the metal body of the Magnemite. She was able to leap up and TACKLE the Magnemite to catch it off guard and gain its attention. As the Magnemite turned toward her and used a THUNDER SHOCK in retaliation, Poochyena winced and let out a GROWL before moving up to TACKLE the Magnemite again, this time lowering it to the ground. Once she heard Natalia's whistle, she retreated back with a bounce in her step.[break][break]

Houndour quickly tagged in, bolting off on all fours and kicking up dirt behind her, claws digging into the ground. She quickly spat out an EMBER onto the Magnemite that was lowered into her sights. The poor thing immediately hit the ground, metallic churning leaving its body. Houndour scooted the Magnemite with her nose out of harm's way, for when the fainted Pokemon woke.[break][break]

Once Houndour was over to Natalia again she could see Natalia giving Poochyena her treat and she at her own treat that Natalia got for her as well. "That wasn't so bad you two." She moved her hand over Poochyena. "No worries, you'll get the hang of it."[break][break]

The trio walked the route a bit. Natalia played with the two pups for a while before returning Houndour to her Pokeball and making her way through the route with her curious little Poochyena. She was getting the hang of obeying orders, even if signals and signs were still a bit over the Poochyena's head. But, she'd get the hang of it and be just as impressive as Houndour was. Without a doubt.[break][break]

Natalia and Poochyena had come to rest on a small broken tree in the route. Natalia looked up at the route and blinked a few times. "Oh..." she whispered, leaning toward Poochyena who was chomping away happily on a stick. It really didn't stand a chance, Poochyena had already shredded the thing in a few places. As Natalia leaned in, Poochyena looked up at her and gave her face a woody lick.[break][break]

Feeling the small pieces of wood and Poochyena's tongue against her cheek had Natalia stifling a giggle. "Take a look over there," Natalia motioned and Poochyena looked over toward the area. "It's a Stantler. They're native to Johto." Natalia pointed out while sitting up. "I can remember when they started to migrate to Kanto people freaked out." She let out a small laugh before rubbing Poochyena.[break][break]

Seemed the Stantlers had been spooked by something because they started to disperse from their grazing places. Natalia stood, quickly packing up her things. The last thing she wanted to be apart of was a stampede. She picked up Poochyena and moved to a tree, watching as the Stantlers ran by them. With a relaxed sigh, she turned toward the Stantler that was behind. Seemed like a buck who was eating the leftover of Poochyena's meal.[break][break]

In offense raised anger, Poochyena GROWLed at the Stantler, who glared up at the Poochyena. The Stantler didn't move though, finding a CALM MIND about itself as it watched the canine move. It was intimidating, that was for sure, but Poochyena didn't hesitate to run forward and TACKLE the Stantler right in the nose. Reeling back, the Stantler tried to STOMP on the Poochyena, who quickly moved out of the way of the attack. She remembered what she'd done to the Tauros and so she ducked under the Stantler and TACKLEed its stomach.[break][break]

"Great job! It's getting ready for another attack, keep moving!" Natalia called out to her Poochyena.[break][break]

As the Stantler prepared CONFUSE RAY, antlers shaking and glowing, it turned to look for the Poochyena but couldn't seem to find it. Poochyena jumped from beneath one of the many hollow logs in the area and TACKLEd the Stantler right in the side. With a grunt, the Stantler snorted through its nose and reared its legs up, turning on its hind legs and taking off toward its herd.[break][break]

Natalia grinned and moved over, picking up Poochyena and giving her a hug. The small pup was a panting mess, wagging her tail as Natalia rejoiced. "Great job!"[break][break]
