Hours upon hours have been spent on Route 32—Chancelor and the company accompanying him have been training harder than ever before. Currently, out of their Pokéball's and with the teenage Trainer would be both Larvitar and Skarmory. The little green monster of destruction sat on a moss covered log, eating a specifically tailored sandwich made for him—with all the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients a growing Larvitar could ever need. The little guy enjoyed it too, crumbs all over a chubby little face that dove into the bread and meat time and time again. The baby Skarmory roosted directly beside the green monster, simply watching as Larvitar ate with reckless abandon. Their Trainer, Chancelor more was on the otherside of the log, outstretched using said log as a type of backrest. In one hand resided a PokéNav in which he used to check social media and the like. To the right of him resided a bag of chips, a bag in which he indulged himself in absentmindedly as he just surfed through app after app in an rather easy attempt to stay up to date with the world, dank ass memes, and the women he follows. While surfing, he sees something he finds rather humorous and busts out laughing, startling both Pokémon slightly. Skarmory peeks his armored head over the log and eyes the screen of the touch screen device, a head tilting to the side as a sharp beck gently pecks at the screen in an attempt to mimic the actions of the Trainer. " The worst thing ever is to be exposed over social media when you're trying to holler at a female, bro. " Chance begins to explain to the rather curious armored bird, a hand gently stroking the beak of the Pokémon in a caring manner. " But how you gonna' get exposed by a thottie? If you're gonna' slide in the DM's of a thot, do it in a way so it won't come back and bite you in the ass, y'know?" Skarmory looks more confused as ever, the words of the human not registering with the armored bird. " You know what i'm talkin' about, g. Don't act a fool." chancelor says with a giggle, petting the Pokémon a little harder. Skarmory cries out in joy and enjoys the fondness being bestowed upon it. " Alright, fella's! Lunchtime is over. It was only yesterday when Ilex Forest was the destination that Spade decided to visit. Unfortunately the location proved to be quite dry, besides a Nuzleaf that honestly wasn't worth the capture. Though, the training that happened was well worth the time spent. Sköll was growing by the day, and it was beautiful to see. He looked down at his Charmander who almost always was outside with him. At least you're small for now... Wait till you eventually reach your final evolution. Won't be able to have you out and about all the time. He mused to himself.[break][break]
The next spot to visit was Route 32. They said it was where technology met nature, and by the looks of it, they were right. The area had almost everything, rocky outcrops, a nearby ocean, patches of deep grass, and buildings where electric types lingered. It seemed like the best place to come to capture something unique. But, Spade needed to be picky to fill out the last two spots of his team, so it might just be another day of training if nothing popped up that interested him. [break][break]
Spade found himself in the grassy area of Route 32. There was enough space to move around, but there were plenty of trees and logs scattered about. A Pokemon cry led him towards another male who was just about getting ready to leave. He overheard his talk about being exposed by a thottie. Wasn't that the worst. One goes into the situation thinking they about to get some poon easy, and then it goes from zero to a hundred and they have you looking like a thirst bucket on the gram. It was a very thin line to walk on. [break][break]
"Yo! If your Pokemon don't know what you're talking about, I sure do." He laughed, introducing himself spontaneously. "You out here looking for Pokemon? By the way, I'm Spade." He extended his hand, unknowingly going to shake one of the men who were also fighting for the position of becoming the 'Main' branch. How would they all react when they realized they all met each other prior, had the same goal in mind, but didn't know who the others in the race were.

Skarmory, always on high alert faced the approaching youth—keen eyes leveling upon him with razor sharp wings at the ready. " Skaaaar!" He screeches, wings flapping in an attempt to seem dominate in presence of this unknown stranger. Chancelor quickly intervenes, placing a hand on the metal beak of the bird and holding an index finger to his lips. Slowly but surly the protective armored bird calmed before taking off into the sky with phenomenal speed. Hazel eyes are glued to the annoyed bird for a while before they shift over to the stranger. " For give him, bro. You caught us at probably the worst possible time." Chance beings to explain while the greedy little Larvitar had eyes glued upon the stranger, head tilted, crumbs everywhere upon the green prince of wanton destruction. " Never get caught slippin' in the DMs. That's my motto. Gotta' watch what you say when you cupcakin' because chances are that broad is off exposing you to another dude." The trainer replies, fixing eyes upon the messy Larviatar and cleaning the little guy off with just a bare hand. " McQueen. The pleasure is all mine, boss." However, before further words could be exchanged between the two. The ever so vigilant bird above calls out—signalling they are no longer alone and wild Pokémon approach. " Looks like we aren't alone," Larvitar jumps into position, leaping from the log and standing before Chancelor in a menacing and very powerful stance for one so little in size. From a bush two wild Pokémon and rush the three of them; a Snover and Sunflora. The little green prince of destruction roars and faces off against the sunflora with his usual reckless abandon. " Close the distance with Rock Slide!" Chancelor screams and Larvitar does just that with one of his signature moves. A wave of rocks appear behind the little green monster and carries him forward with even faster speeds. Once within striking distance, the bed of rocks collide and smash into the Sunflora, pushing the wild Pokémon away with amazing power. But the Grass type had a lot of fight, it counters with absorb and saps a large amount of energy out of Larvitar. However, the little guy ignores all the pain and presses onward with a tempered resolve—leaping on top of the Sunflora and unleashing a string of brutal crunches all over the face and exposed petals of the Grass type. That was all she wrote, the wild Pokémon laid on the grass, defeated, dazed, and unable to even move after such a brutal assault. Larvitar gets up and roars his usual roar—copying his favorite idol and role-model; the king of monsters himself; the great and mighty Godzilla. ✝ tag(s) - ATTICUS . ✝ notes - WILD ENCOUNTERS [O1|O3] +2 for larvitar bringing the level up to 13. |

His sudden appearance made the Skarmory defensive, rising up with it's beak at the ready. A beautiful Pokemon, that was quickly settled by it's trainer. "It's fine, you got a beautiful Pokemon there... both of 'em." He told him and his group, looking at the Larvitar that had it's face filled with food moments ago. It was nice to come across someone with such a diverse team. "I agree with you, the DM's can be an unforgiven space." [break][break]
"I like your name, seems familiar too..." He pondered on why the name sounded so familiar. Though, his thoughts didn't have enough time to bring forth a memory as they were interrupted by a duo of Pokemon. A Snover and a Sunflora. It was the first time he seen both of them, however, he didn't have the time to record their data as they were aggressive in their approach. [break][break]
"Zeus, come on out!" He exclaimed, throwing the PokeBall that contained the Electabuzz onto the field in front of him. Out he came, chest out, ready to scrap. It was true that Electric type attacks would only do minimal damage to the Snover, but Spade wanted his Electabuzz to get more experience in the battlefield. [break][break]
"Wait... fighting type moves do double damage against this 'Mon." He mused to himself. Snover's appearance onto the field induced hail-like elements, damaging the Electabuzz just a fraction of his health every so often. The Snover attempted to use Leech Seed, however Spade reacted quickly. "Use Quick Attack now!" Electabuzz vanished from his current position, dodging the incoming Leech Seed, and blurring towards the grass/ice type. He hit him head on, catching the Snover by surprise.[break][break]
They were both in close quarters now and Spade wasn't going to give the Snover another chance to let off an attack. "Low Kick, now!" With his strong legs, the Electric type let off a strong Low Kick that would make any martial artist proud. It landed to the body of the Snover and launched him a few meters back, leaving the Pokemon unconscious and out for the count. "I hope this hail subsides sooner than later..." He said aloud, waiting for his Electabuzz to return to his original position.

Larvitar can't help but find himself looking the Electabuzz up and down with a stalwart gaze—the little eyes of the Kaiju in training fixed firmly upon the yellow and black body of the Electric type. Larvitar always saw himself to be on top of the world despite being a tiny little thing, he believed himself to be a king; the strongest Pokémon to ever walk the face of the earth to date! Well, not entirely, but he did like taking on much larger opponents than itself and this Electabuzz seemed to be a prime candidate as an opponent. " Bro, enough. We get it, you're a badass. C'mere before you catch a cold." Chancelor calls out to the brave little prince of anarchy, the little Kaiju strolling back over to the side of his Trainer in the midst of a hail storm. Skarmory perched itself under the thick leaves of a tree while calling out to Chance, letting him know this hail storm was doing some nasty damage to the armored wings of the heavily armored bird Pokémon." Stay over there until it ends! " Beautiful ain't exactly the word I'd use to describe my boys, but thank you, bro." Chancelor says with a winning smile, eyes fixed upon the very same Electabuzz Larvitar was sizing up moments before. " You probably heard my name all around Kanto. My family is pretty renowned in that re-," another alarming call from the Skarmory to interrupt the words being spoken. Larvitar throws off the shirt and waddles over in front of Chance, ready and willing to battle—eyes fixed like glue upon a Tangela. " Of course you take the disadvantage. Alright then, you know what to do. Defenses tight, get in close, and end it with one solid attack." Larvitar roars his typical Kaiju-like roar before darting off towards the wild Tangela. Both human and Pokémon predicted a Grass type move to be used in an attempt to keep them both at bay, and one was indeed used; Vine Whip. Larvitar dodged and weaved through the swinging and snapping vines with expert movement—muscle memory from endless amount of practice and training kicking into full effect. The little prince of destruction would take a hit however to ensure his own would land with critical impact. Spade enjoyed watching the nearby trainer battle with his Larvitar. It seemed they got along well. The Larvitar also had a unique personality. Spade had a good feeling that he would grow to become a much, much stronger Pokemon. [break][break]
Electabuzz waited around in anticipation. He was itching for more battles, trying to test his limits and see how much stronger he could get. As both Spade and Chance waited for their next battles, the two had a brief conversation. It was nice to meet a fellow trainer, and be able to talk in between battles. It felt as if this wouldn't be the last that the two saw of each other.[break][break]
That Skarmory of his did a pretty good job of being an alarm, and a warning signal. It let them know of nearby Pokemon approaching instantly, given the two of them optimal time to prepare. "We can't let them outplay us Zeus! Get out there!" He told the electric type. There was a Seedot standing in their way, and it was something that the Electabuzz was pumped to come against. [break][break]
Now that they had another battle, the attention and focus shifted from watching the Larvitar to winning this battle. "Use Thunder Shock!" Spade ordered.[break][break]
The Electabuzz shot off a powerful Thunder Shock that caught the slow Seedot before it had a chance to move. The attack rattled off half of its health, but it was still in it to win it. It began to use Bide, a move that gained strength the longer it gathered. "Zeus, finish it off with another Low Kick!" The Electabuzz closed the distance while the Seedot continued to gather its energy. Before it had the chance to release it in one final attack, Zeus connected with a Low Kick that would finish off the Grass type Pokemon. [break][break]
"So, you say your from Kanto? Why are you here in Johto then?" He inquired towards Mcqueen, after the battles had finished.

With the hail finally subsided, the sheltered Skarmory took to the skies yet again—razor sharp wings gliding through the air like a tempered blade cutting through exposed flesh. The armored monster flew past the tall treetops, circling the Trainer with a high pitched call letting Chance know his eyes in the skies have returned in all their glory. The teenager couldn't help but smile upon seeing such raw dedication from a Pokémon still so young. He had instilled firm teachings to the bird, but this dedication and yearning to become stronger is all within the Skarmory; Chance had nothing to do with this burning passion. Maybe it has something to do with how the other Pokémon act, how they fight and always strive for excellence above everything else? It is still a little too early to tell, though, one thing was for certain, and that was Skarmory had a promising future ahead of himself. Larvitar also took note of the flying, little body bruised from the battles. The little guy still stood tall like the prince of mayhem he was, head held high with ambition still itching to be tested in the ultimate test of bravery and strength. Chance strolled over to the little guy, bending down and spraying a potion over the wounded and exhausted body of the dual type. It may have seemed like Larvitar could have taken on the world, but Chance knew the Pokémon's limits better than anyone else, and he knew Larvitar was on his last legs despite standing so tall and regal. Once fully healed, he patted the little green beast on the head a few times and rose back up fully, back still turned to Spade, but words were still heard and an answer was soon to follow from Chancelor. " Why is anyone in Kanto? I'm just like most folks with Pokémon these days. Out here living my Pokémon dreams." Chancelor answers as the flying eyes above call out in warning once again. Like clockwork, Larvitar springs into action and picks the biggest Pokémon out of the bunch. He rushes forward recklessly, roaring in an attempt to intimidate the chosen Pokémon. Carnivine bombarded Larvitar with sharp leafs, a tornado of them that almost made the little tyrant stop dead in his tracks from the damage and force alone. He called out in pain, this attack almost being the one that proved too much. If he was any other Pokémon it might have just been, but Larvitar had enough determination to circle this region fifteen times with a few miles to spare. So he pressed forward, roaring until he was close enough to attack. Carnivine ceased the attack and prepared to lash the dual type with powerful vines. However, it was too late—when Larvitar closed that gap, the battle has already been decided. He hit the Grass type with a powerful shoulder charge to mount it. Once mounted he began chomping at it; bite after brutal bite with a maw capable of ultimate destruction. This went on until neither of them had the energy to continue. Carnivine tapped out; going unconscious with Larvitar behind it moments after, only after securing the victory. Chancelor withdraw the tyrant and placed the occupied PokéBall upon his belt with the other five spheres he carries with him. ✝ tag(s) - ATTICUS . ✝ notes - WILD ENCOUNTERS [O3|O3] +2 for larvitar bringing the level up to 17. |

McQueen was a formidable rival, one that was going to be an obstacle in the path to becoming a Champion; this didn't scare Spade, instead it invigorated him and fueled his competitive edge. He never expected this to be easy, hell, becoming Champion meant he would rule over all of the families connected to his own, even if unbeknownst to him, one of those distant relatives was standing a few meters from him right now. [break][break]
The lively McQueen and his Larvitar were going to go far, but so was Spade. He predicted they would eventually battle, and not just once. There was a part of him that felt that they would run into each other often, way before they found out they were related to one another. [break][break]
"I feel that homie, I'm glad to have met someone else chasing their dreams. There's a certain freedom one feels when they go after what they want and don't listen to anyone else." He said just before another two Pokemon appeared before them. One was a Carnevine and the other a... TREECKO. A formidable grass type that was going to make a nice addition to Spade's team. [break][break]
"Alright Zeus... Use Thunder Shock!" He said, ordering the Pokemon to release a bolt of Electricity towards the female Treecko. Instead of standing there and taking the attack, the Pokemon showed off it's agility and dodged the attack with ease. It closed the distance and utilized slam, ramming its body into the Electabuzz. [break][break]
Unfortunately, the Treecko wasn't as strong as she thought. The slam damaged Electabuzz, but it didn't move him. Instead, in retaliation it grabbed the Treecko to prevent it from moving. "Thunder Shock!!" Spade yelled out, commanding a strike of electricity to emit from the Electabuzz and cover both of their bodies. Upon release, the Treecko stumbled and fell to one knee. This was the chance he needed. [break][break]
The trainer reached for a Poke Ball around his waist, and launched it forward, encompassing the grass type in it's red light. Now Spade waited eagerly, hoping his attempt was successful.

tl;dr Zeus used Thunder Shock.
Treecko dodged and used Slam.
Zeus took the hit then grabbed Treecko, using Thunder Shock once more.
Treecko fell to one knee and Spade threw a Poke Ball hoping to capture the Pokemon.
