As she continued looking through the entries on her Dex, Natalia couldn't help but lift a curious eyebrow at the beeping noise of a Pokemon nearby. She pulled her head up to lift an eyebrow, watching as an Electrike began sniffing about. The static pulling through its fur was mesmerizing and immediately her mind traveled to the question, how could she tame the pup?[break][break]

She could wake up Houndour or Poochyena, but then they'd be a groggy mess during battle and Poochyena was only just starting to learn commands. With that decision made, she picked up some Pokemon feed from her backpack and sprinkled it out toward the Electrike.[break][break]

The sound of the bag and Natalia's movements woke both pups. Houndour yawned and Poochyena groaned, stretching her limbs and paws out as much as she could before slumping completely. After her yawn, Houndour stretched as well. Poochyena's yawn turned into a sniffing fit as she began licking Natalia's hand of the food she had tossed. Then, she turned her head to look at where the food had been tossed. Her fur started to raise on her neck and back as she saw the electric type Pokemon, hearing the sparks. Houndour was immediately alert as well, looking where Poochyena was after feeling her tension.[break][break]

"It's alright," Natalia whispered to the two as they watched the Electrike approach the food and give it a sniff. "He's just checking things out."[break][break]

He let a low growl, waiting for his fur to CHARGE as he got close. If they didn't move, then he wouldn't move. He sniffed the food and then began eating it, chomping on the little bits that had been tossed. He cautiously moved closer, keeping his eyes on the other Pokemon that were lying with their trainer.[break][break]

Houndour sat up, sitting on her hind legs and yawning once more. Her body heated up a bit as she prepared herself just in case that Electrike tried anything funny. When he did nothing but take a few bites of the food and then continue eating, she gave a bark. The Electrike immediately straightened himself out, barking at the pups and their trainer. The Poochyena flinched, but Natalia nor Houndour did. Houndour, as a matter of fact, snorted and stood, brushing some of the food toward the Electrike and beginning to eat next to the Electrike. Who was confused as hell as to what the Houndour was doing?[break][break]

At first, the Electrike snarled, keeping his distance from the Houndour who ate basically beside him. The electricity in his fur started to spark. Poochyena sniffed and whined, bouncing over and wagging her tail lightly as she started eating next to her pal the Houndour. They'd grown close during training and apparently, this food thing was a party! She wanted in on it, even if the Electrike was still on edge.[break][break]

While the two began eating beside him, the Electrike relaxed. So much so that the charge in his fur began to fade. His snarl died down and simply rested as a low growl in his chest as he started to eat with the Houndour and Poochyena. His eyes were still on their trainer though. Usually, they tried to catch him and his kind, and sometimes they were just too fast. Well, that was when he had a kind. These two fellow canines, odd as it might have been to find a Poochyena and a Houndour together and happy, seemed to treat him like he wasn't some other breed. Like he was just like them. Come to think of it, the woman seemed to be letting them all mind their own business pretty well. Maybe she'd be different...[break][break]

Natalia let the three Pokemon play together. After they were done eating Houndour started a game of tag. She'd bump her muzzle into Poochyena and Poochyena would bound around and try to bump her back. Usually, it ended up with a pin to the ground and the two would play fight for a moment, biting and playing as they flailed, and the Electrike just watched while filling his gullet with food.[break][break]

Eventually, the Electric-type finished eating and began playing with the other two. Playful bites, little wrestling matches, races that Electrike always won, and even a few 'shows' of who was better than who with a few moves. Natalia had to scold Houndour not to use her Ember attack because it would cause a fire to spread through the grass. Also Smog, because who wanted to suffocate?[break][break]

The pups played until Natalia whistled and Houndour and Poochyena came over. She settled them into her lap and then looked to the Electrike. He whined and sat on his hind legs, pawing at the dirt before laying down on his front paws and moping at the two pups leaving him.[break][break]

Houndour looked up at Natalia and wagged her tail, barking. He was clearly lonely and wanted a friend. Poochyena even went so far as to bite at Natalia's bag, to which Natalia took a Pokeball out before making eye contact with the Electrike.[break][break]

"If you come with us," she began. "Then maybe we can all play and train together. Hm? What do you say? Nothing but warm cuddles and lots of meals here." She laughed as she spoke, a warm smile playing her features as she looked at the electric canine.[break][break]

Electrike perked up when spoken to and when he saw the Pokeball he eyed it skeptically. He'd heard rumors through the pack that being with a trainer was nothing like a pack, but he felt like he was with his pack again when he was with those two pups. Maybe... just maybe the pack was wrong. They had left him, after all. With a bark, he stood up on all fours and jumped toward them.[break][break]

Natalia took that as her cue, throwing the Pokeball out to capture the Electrike. He'd be a beautiful addition and honestly, what better relationship would she have with him now that she hadn't beat him into submission? It was a bond built on trust, and she couldn't wait to see if he'd allow it to be explored by allowing her to capture him.[break][break]
