A wild Pokemon appeared rather quickly. It had wings, and a cute little beak. All in all the Pokemon was quite adorable. If he was building his team based solely on cuteness then this one would have had a spot on it. Unfortunately, that's not what Spade was here for. He recorded the date into his PokeDex, and learned it was a dual type Pokemon; normal and flying. [break][break]

"Let's go Zeus! Do your thing, champ." He released his electric type Pokemon on the field. It wasn't that Spade was necessarily in a hurry but he didn't feel like wasting time either. Zeus emerged from the PokeBall ready to rock and roll. He beat his chest a few times because facing such a small bird didn't really excite him too much. The beating hyped himself up and was a bit extra, Spade would admit, but Zeus was a real one regardless. [break][break]

"Zeus, use Thunder Wave!" He commanded.[break][break]

The Electabuzz released a wave of Thunder that came at the bird type quickly. It ensnared the Pokemon in electricity and would hopefully slow it's movements down. The Rufflet utilized Peck, but because of the Thunder Wave slowing down it's movement it was to no avail. "Thunder Shock!" Spade ordered. The Zeus released a zap of thunder that came roaring down on the Rufflet that was on it's way to Peck the Electabuzz. The attack was Super Effective and left the Rufflet on the ground, unconscious and a bit burnt. [break][break]

"Let's go Zeus!" He told the Pokemon. The two of them moved forward, deeper into the zone. Spade wondered what else they were going to encounter. That was always the beauty of being a trainer and visiting different areas of the Region. Spade only imagined what he would find venturing into the other Regions that existed. This Pokemon Journey was only beginning and it was going to be a very long one to boot.

Electabuzz and his trainer moved around the Safari Zone searching around for their next victim. It was nice seeing his Pokemon get stronger as the days went on. They definitely showed their potential in each and every battle, even that sassy Dratini of his did good most of the time. However, there was one that had yet to see the surface ever since his capture. It was the Swinub that he met on his first day, aside from his starter anyway. Spade was steadily debating whether to release the Pokemon back into the wild or not. [break][break]

As they reached a lake, a new Pokemon appeared. "Huh... you look like something straight out of a Dinosaur film. I wonder what kind of Pokemon you are." He said, looking at the Omanyte. Retrieving his PokeDex from his pocket he learned that it was a rock and water type Pokemon that resembled a fossil. Well, the fossil part was obvious but the fact that it was a rock and water type was quite interesting. However, it was mere fodder for his Electabuzz and Spade had no regrets about defeating it. [break][break]

"Yo, Zeus. Do your thing. Use a Quick Attack!" Spade ordered. His Electabuzz vanished from its original position and moved like a blur towards the Omanyte. The fossil Pokemon retaliated by withdrawing itself inside of it's shell. This allowed the Pokemon to absorb the impact from the Electabuzz. [break][break]

"Thunder Shock now!" He shouted towards Zeus. Zeus released another bolt of lightning that enveloped the Omanyte while it hid inside its shell. Electabuzz and his trainer waited to see the results of their move. The Omanyte's head slipped out of the shell, obviously unconscious from the shock that the lightning provided. [break][break]

Another one bites the dust... Spade sung to himself as him and Zeus kept it pushing around the Zone.

Zeus was following Spade with his chest out because he felt good about his previous two battles. He was riding a high off victory and Spade hoped it wouldn't get to the Electric type's head. "Zeus you did good, but don't get too full of yourself. We all have a long way to go." He told the Pokemon. [break][break]

The two of them walked along the water's edge, both scouting the area for any potential Pokemon. Before they knew it, another Pokemon appeared. It looked like a frog and had a beautiful coloration that impressed Spade. He used his PokeDex to bring up the Pokemon's information. It was known as Froakie and it was a water type that could evolve further. Interesting... he thought to himself. "Zeus lets go." [break][break]

Zeus stood in front of Spade and eyed the frog down. Froakie decided to move first, using Water Pulse to send a pulse of water towards Zeus. Since winning the two battles before, the Pokemon was cocky and thought the attack would only tickle. Standing still, even though Spade implored him to move, he took the attack and it shook him a bit. The water knocked the air out of him because he underestimated the power it had behind it. "See.... What did I tell you Zeus? Do you want me to switch you out for someone else?" Zeus protested immediately. He shook off the attack and seemed to be back to his usual self. [break][break]

"Use Thunder Wave!" Spade commanded. The Electabuzz shot a paralyzing wave of thunder towards the Froakie, ensnaring him in it's grips. This slowed the water type down and also made it possible to once in a while lock it's movement. Froakie decided to reply with Smack Down, throwing itself at the Electabuzz in hopes of connecting with the Pokemon's chest. "Dodge and use Thunder Shock!" Despite Froakie's best efforts, the paralysis caught hold of him and stopped him dead in his tracks and a violent shock of thunder landed upon the Pokemon. It was heavily damaged and looked ready to be captured. [break][break]

"Here we go..." Spade muttered to himself as he launched the Safari Ball at the weakened Froakie.
