" Pika~♪ Pika~♪ Pika~♪" Pikachu danced circles around the party—the party consisting of Chancelor, Gible, and Lucario. The little electric mouse had been demonstrating dance move for the ' clueless' Lucario who simply couldn't preform them regardless how hard she tried. Behind the dancing mouse followed a waddling little monster with a razor sharp maw wide open, little chubby arms outstretched with hands opening and closing at an object in the hand of Pikachu. Chance smiles, pats Lucario, and joins Pikachu in the dancing. " C'mon, girl. It's cake. Just hit it like this." He says with his usual trademarked grin with sparkling pearly teeth fully exposed, following in the motion and rhythm of the Electric type.  " Pika~♪ Pika~♪ Pika~♪" Pikachu chants. Hit it~♪ Hit it~♪ Hit it~♪" Chancelor joins in. " Ngggr... Ngggr.... Giiiib..." Gible stomps forward with cute and equally terrifying waddling wanting to receive his stick within the clutches of Pikachu. Lucario simply blinks, the hound watching the trio move around her with a tilted head. Today was supposed to be another day of training with Jenna, however, as the party waited near the beginning of Route 48, they decided to enjoy the company of one another as they waited for the Ranger to show. It was obvious to anyone who would happen to be around to witness such merriment and brotherhood—Chancelor McQueen was the furthest thing from a ' hard ass' Trainer, but the values, skills, and experience he instills in all of his Pokémon are one of a kind and the product of which champions are forged within. ✝ tag(s) - Jenna Wright . ✝ notes - my gible ain't so civil and if you take his stick he gon' give you a nibble #sonicteambars . |

If I can't evade my fate
[attr="class","therivmid"] [attr="class","therivmid1"] Jenna peddled, faster and faster, as she allowed her bicycle to reach speeds that it rarely reached. When she traveled, she always cruised at a comfortable pace. Not this time. This time, she was peddling like the devil was on her heels–like a legendary pokemon was gearing to smite her. That was not the truth. Teeth gritted so tightly she could hear them click, the Ranger had one objective: outrun her pokemon.[break][break] Caesar was racing after her. The bipedal Tyrunt was doing his damnedest to keep pace with his Ranger's neck-breaking speed. He was doing a damn good job of it. Despite his short legs, the dragon-type had enough strength to make up for his smaller stride. He could leap, elongating his gait, to keep rank with Jenna. No matter how hard she peddled, he'd catch up. “Bullshit.” She spat out as he started to pull ahead of her, pushing harder to close the distance.[break][break] The Tyrunt was living up to his name. He was a Dragon-Type that was blessed with talent; a sharp mind to match his sharpened maw. He was no idiot. Jenna would describe it as battle-intuition. In a fight, he knew how to handle himself. While she was unfamiliar with how he was raised, she knew it had been fraught with combat. She knew the signs. Several pokemon she had caught displayed the same tendencies; her Rufflet and her Nidiorino. He was level-headed. It was a good trait for a pokemon to have. She appreciated it.[break][break] But in every other aspect, he was undemonstrative. Jenna could only describe it as a sense of discipline. He would stand at the ready, never granting himself a break. She had never seen the Tyrunt crack a smile; had never seen him enjoy anything.[break][break] She was used to such dissonance from her Espeon, but even Aeon had exceptions. Her Espeon could be happy; he just tried to hide it. Her Espeon could still relax, unwind, and enjoy a nice evening curled in her lap. He could purr with content if she scratched behind his ears. With Caesar? He was too strict. It was like he was actively denying his chances to be happy.[break][break] The race had been an attempt to coax something out of him. It failed. He was straight-laced, focused on their objective as if he were a trained soldier.[break][break] In the distance she could see Chancelor with his pokemon, watching how they were able to goof off with one another. Caesar would be unfamiliar with such a dynamic. Maybe that was why she had brought him along? She wanted to show him that there was more to life than battle.[break][break] He won the race. Instead of celebrating, Caesar came to a stop, waiting for Jenna to finish. He looked like a guard that had been stationed, awaiting his next order. He glanced from Chancelor to the other pokemon, granting a nod of acknowledgment, but made no attempts to greet them. He was far more interested in his trainer...who rode up on her bicycle, panting as she leaned over the handlebars.[break][break] Caesar looked at her with a drilling gaze, questioning what to do next. “Yeah, yeah, at ease.” He did not budge. Sighing, the girl dismounted from her bike and wiped sweat from her forehead. " You just gotta kick your leg out like this, and move your arm like this." The dancing continued with absolutely no sign of it stopping anytime soon. Pikachu playful led the irate baby dragon onward, easily dodging each and every attempt the dragon made to obtain his ' special' stick. Lucario kept her eyes on Chancelor until she felt a slight ' disturbance'—an aura that simply didn't match the ' dynamic' the jackal had grown so accustom too. So she looks off to the side, lying eyes upon a Pokémon simply glaring at them. The obedient and well-trained hound faces the unknown dinosaur and growls, signally to her dancing Trainer they were no longer alone. Though, before the Fighter could even focus on the warning given to him by his Lucario, a familiar voice clashed against the merriment being had and three sets of eyes fixed upon a female on the bicycle. " Pfft. These wild Pokémon ain't ready for alla' this." Chancelor retorts quickly without missing a beat, a heavy hand landing on the top of Lucario's head; a subtle way to tell the hound every thing will be alright. Pikachu waves at Jenna with one hand while the other leads the waddling Gible around in a cute little circle. Hazel eyes land on the guarding Tyrunt, the seriousness of the Pokémon showing in spades. " That guy with you? Woulda' never figured you the type to hang with royalty." Chancelor teases, but is also referring to the Pokédex classification of the two-type Dragon Pokémon. In the midst of this conversation, a Chatot shot itself from the tree above and began to circle around the gathered party, pissed about all the ruckus and fun being had. Lucario prepared herself to handle this hostile Pokémon—twin paws glowing blue as she began to conjure a trademarked weapon to handle the Flying type. " Nah. We let 'Baby Boy' handle this." Lucario looks back at her Trainer with a tilted head while Pikachu leads the still-irate Gible forward and in front of Chancelor. " Hey," he says in a stern voice, squatting down to get the attention of the adolescent beast. Recognizing such a call from previous training sessions, the mumbling monster looks at the human, still grabbing at the arm with hands opening and closing. " You want it back?" Gible nods, stomping in place like a bull. " Then you earn it back. Just like we practiced." He points up at the circling Flying type and Gible soon gets the picture. " Nnggr... Gib... Nnggr..." Gible then digs under ground with the attention of the Chatot gained. The Flying type dives down above the hole, and screams a powerful boom of a song into the hole; a Hyper Voice following in the created tunnel at an rather impressive speed. Though, before the attack could reach the baby dragon, Gible had already resurfaced from behind the Flying type and dive with the full mass of his little body at the Chatot. A powerful Dragon Rush slammed into the avian with full force, Gible landing on the ground, stomping around, before digging underneath the ground again before the poor Chatot could even retaliate. This time it takes to the skies and uses the height advantage to try and pinpoint where the little monster would resurface, but this proved to be yet another error on the part of the singing avian. Gible launched himself into the air recklessly, like a rocket, face first with a maw opening and closing. Chatot, taken back by the miniature horror diving at it, tries to go higher, but to no success. Gible sinks teeth into the chest of the bird and brings it out of the sky like a natural predator. " Enough." Chancelor says with another stern voice, stick now in his grasp. Gible unlatches from the defeated bird, waddles over to his Trainer, and jumps in his arm to obtain the prize he longed for. " Improvement. Good job, you lil' monster." He says bending down and letting his victorious Gible back upon the dusty beaten path. " Gib... Nnggr.... Nnggr..." The girl tried to pay the dragon no mind, secretly hoping that he would not live up to the description that the PokeDex had given–because she knew what the next stage was. She knew what awaited her.[break][break] He would grow from an Heir to a Despot.[break][break] “Yeah, it's... different.” They were an odd match. She had never envisioned herself owning a pokemon like him. Her hand was gently placed atop the Tyrunt's head. The dragon did not react to the contact–tolerating her touch. Maybe he agreed? Regardless, they seemed to tolerate each other's presence. That was better than nothing. Maybe, with time, they could grow closer. If Tyrunt maintained his serious demeanor, they could at least trust one another.[break][break] Caeser growled. At first, Jenna had thought the sound was directed at her, but then she saw the Chatot. His eyes followed the wild pokemon, ready to strike. “Don't sweat it, big guy. You can get the next one.” Chancelor had this one handled. Her eyes bounced between him and the Gible, knowing the significance of the stick that was now held in his hands. That Dragon was not the sharpest tool in the shed. Holding the stick hostage was probably the only way to get him to respond to commands.[break][break] Her Tyrunt seemed perplexed, glancing up at Jenna to try and understand why the stick was so important. Jenna could only shrug. “Don't ask me.”[break][break] The battle was over quickly, but Jenna didn't notice how Caesar was still on edge. “Wow, that was a big jump–” The girl had crouched down in front of the Gible, ready to distribute affection and words of encouragement for the lil' monster, but he had already burrowed back underground. “Darn. I can't compete with that stick.” She laughed, shrugging. At least Pikachu appreciated her affection.[break][break] Her Tyrunt suddenly ran past her. “Huh?” Her eyes followed the small dragon, wondering what had suddenly garnered his attention.[break][break] He used Dragon Tail. His small nub glowed with dragon-like power as he slashed it against the... ground? It flung mud and dirt into the air, into a specific direction. It was only then that Jenna realized what had caught Casar's attention. The mud had splattered against something that had been invisible. While she had been watching Gible's fight, she hadn't heard the sounds of another wild pokemon.[break][break] He had. Hopping over the revealed Kecleon, Caeser managed to avoid being swiped by its Shadow Claws. In the air, he braced both feet together. Some people could forget that those strong legs were not powered by pure muscle alone–down to the tips of his talons, his legs were controlled by a pulley system of tendons that allowed for powerful, accurate strikes.[break][break] He may have lack wings, but when he stomped down upon the Kecleon, he might have looked like a bird that had swept down from the skies. He pinned the normal-type to the ground with the hard slam. Its head had been smashed against the ground with such force that it had almost been rendered senseless. Almost. Caesar was struck by a Psybeam that was emitted from the creature's maw.[break][break] That gave the Kecleon a chance to recover, but the Tyrunt was not finished yet. He charged up another Dragon tail. This time, instead of smashing against the ground, he smashed it against the tricky chameleon. That finished the job.[break][break] “...Huh. Good eye.” She praised as he turned back to look at her. Chancelor kept his eyes fixed firmly upon the Tyrunt, attempting to read and ' gauge' the Pokémon—attempting to figure out what made him ' tick'. There was not a single doubt about the strong bond between both Jenna and the Pokémon despite the ' hardened' way he carried himself. Tyrunt already began to remind the Martial Artist of his own Pokémon with a similar aura and personality. Blaziken, the fiery fowl discovered and befriended in the Icy Path of Route 44. The brawling chicken quickly showed himself to have a stern and hardworking disposition—qualities Chancelor himself instills in his Pokémon and have grown up with, so despite how carefree and brotherly the youngest McQueen may act on a daily bases, there will always be that mutual ground of understanding between the two; both human and Pokémon. Jenna and her Tyrunt were no different in this regard, he just had to figure out what mutual ground they have so he could discovery more about the royal heir of a dragon from a long and forgotten age. " Bro has an crazy amount of power stored up within that little body of his." Chance is referring to the borrowed Gible, slightly chuckling as Jenna finds herself rejected by the little blue monster. " Welcome to my life, yo." The teenager promptly replies, Pikachu co-signing the ' kind' gesture bestowed upon Jenna with a few nods of his cute little head. Fixing to speak further upon the subject, a train of thought found itself lost in the mind as the Rangers Tyrunt sprung into action without warning. The standing Lucario took a step back and bumped into the leg of her Trainer, slightly taken back by the sudden action. It appeared he had a yearning for battle, a lust to push and improve himself above and beyond the threshold. Chance looks over at Jenna as the powerful dinosaur makes quick work of the poor lizard. " That kinda' drive to improve is rare. Coulda' been bad if the Kecleon had been prepared for those attacks, y'know? Still, he handled himself extremely well and looks like he's just itchin' for more. Honestly reminds me of the Pokémon back at the compound." A Lopunny appears from behind a tree. Something white and circular in a furry grip. The Rabbit Pokémon appeared to be extremely timid, long fuzzy ears hanging almost to the ground as it began taking a few steps forward. " A Lopunny? Yo, you alright?" Chancelor asks, the shy Pokémon looking over the party one good time before stopping directly in front of the ebon skinned Fighter. From behind her back, she slowly and reluctantly holds up a crown of pure white flowers; a type of ' gift' being bestowed upon Chancelor. He reluctantly takes the crown and puts it on his head, not sure what this Lopunny wished to gain out of this little interaction. Once the crown settles on, she holds both hands up to her mouth before clapping cutely with joy and admiration. She then looks down at Pikachu, then over to Lucario, then over to Jenna and the royal prince. It looks like she is taking count the way she moves her paw from one being to the next. She then suddenly rushes off to the tree in which she appeared from only to come back out with flower crowns for everyone! Like a child bestowing a gift to a good friend, one by one everyone obtains a crown of flowers. " Wow..." Chancelor says, eyes shifting over to Jenna, honestly confused on what to do next. Pikachu on the other hand found himself completely captivated by the Rabbit Pokémon—the smooth talking mouse laying down swift game to Lopunny who found the attempts more adorable than anything. The Rabbit Pokémon grabs the callous hand of Chance with his attention still on Jenna, puppy dog eyes glued to hazel hues the very moment they meet. " Oh. I see. You want to come with us, huh? Well I don't blame you, cutie. We are the coolest heads this side of Johto." She likes you.” As the normal-type ran back to the woods to fetch more crowns, Caesar joined Jenna's side. Unlike the others, he was perplexed by the situation. He was even more perplexed when the Lopunny came with crowns for everyone–he accepted his gift as if he were a soldier being pinned with a new medal. “Not a bad look for you.” Jenna remarked to him, boasting her own crown of white flowers–whit lilies.[break][break] It was then that the other spectator made themselves known. A small Teddiursa, with tears welling in her eyes, suddenly came up to the group. She had watched the Lopunny distributed the gifts, only to realize that there were none left for her. “Huh?” Jenna stared down at the young cub, noting her age. She was young. Almost too young to be out on her own. “Sweetie, what's wrong?”[break][break] The small bear latched to her leg, sniffling as she looked up at the Lopunny with a pleading gaze, hoping that another crown could be made for her.[break][break] That wouldn't be necessary. Caesar stepped forward, approaching the small bear. At first, Jenna wondered what the Dragon-type intended to do...but he took a knee. Gently bringing himself down before the small Teddiursa, he expressed that she could have his. At first, the cub seemed hesitant. “Go ahead.” Jenna wanted to encourage Caesar's behavior.[break][break] Slowly, the young pokemon gently lifted the crown off his head before setting it down upon her own. It was a little big, but her ears helped keep the crown in place. Now, she was crying tears of happiness, touched by the gesture as she hugged the Tyrunt with as much strength as her tiny arms could muster.[break][break] Caersar endured the treatment, only releasing a long sigh. “...Well. With both Pokémon captured, the youngest McQueen took off the crown of flowers to examine it with a tilted head. " I always found it a little strange when certain Pokémon develop these 'hobbies' and 'habits', y'know?" Those words aimed directly at the female Ranger, the nice crown of flowers gently placed back on top the head because the gesture was kind and sweet. " Almost makes you wonder where they get it from. Pokémon can almost be more human than humans." Eyes then dance over to the prehistoric dragon, " your boy is the prime example of that. He took it upon himself to make another Pokémon happy when he didn't have too. You say all he cares about is battling? That niceness displayed says otherwise." Lucario, still standing beside Chancelor looks at the regal beast with a tilted head, reading the monsters aura; noticing a bit of a ' shift' in the way he carried himself. " You're a good girl with an even better heart, Jenna. Caesar will learn a new trick or two." With that being said, Pikachu roosts back on the shoulder of his Trainer, agreeing with the kind words spoken with a chubby faced smile and little Pokémon chirps. However, this moment wouldn't last—an enraged bull came charging down the route; kicking, bucking, and grunting as it swiftly approached the party. " Gible. You're up, getcha' ass out here." Chance calls to the burrowed dragon with a stern tone, foot tapping the ground in which the baby beast laid. Seconds pass and there is no answer, Pikachu leaps off the shoulder of Chancelor and begins tapping the ground himself, little eyes looking for signs of the young Gible more enthralled with the stick than anyone of them above ground. " He's gonna' be the death of me. I already foresee the future. Think you can handle this, pretty lady?" Hazel eyes are fixed upon Lucario who nods once before meeting the rampaging bull with a bravado taken directly from the Fighter that taught her everything. Tauros strikes with horns coated in physic energy, a powerful Zen Headbutt. However, Lucario retaliates with fists exploding with explosive power. A Close Combat is all it took to beast the raging beast. A single well placed punch aimed at the head of the bull made it go off course, trample over an entire tree, then collapse to the ground with a fading consciences. " Pikachu. You check over there and I'll check over here." Jenna glanced away from the dark-skinned fighter, focusing on Caesar with a gentle, encouraging gaze. The rock-type seemed keen on avoiding eye-contact as if he was flustered by his gesture and the praise it was receiving. “I didn't know you had a soft side.” He shrugged, letting his small shoulders rise and fall as he tried to end the discussion. The Tyrunt was doing his damnedest to transition back to being serious.[break][break]
Caesar heard something coming. The Tyrunt directed his gaze down the road. Jenna naturally followed his gaze, spotting the source of the commotion that was coming their way. A rampaging Tauros? What the heck was that doing out here? More importantly... why did it almost look feminine? Weren't they only supposed to be male?[break][break]
Jenna shook herself from her thoughts, noticing that Chancelor's Gible was still burrowed beneath the ground. “Uhh... Can he get lost?” Or was he just napping with his precious stick? Caesar seemed ready to step in and battle the raging beast; but, backed down when the Lucario rose to the challenge. He wasn't so desperate to fight for a turn. That was not necessary. A good fight would come along. Hopefully, it would be better than the last.[break][break]
Which was why the dragon seemed interested by the twink of light from a nearby bush. A glameow was crouched, nails exposed, as it awaited its chance to attack. The moment the two pokemon made eye contact, the fight was on.[break][break]
Except, the normal-type cat tried to run as the dragon charged, roaring as his two large legs carried him towards his next battle. Jenna, glancing up from the ground and pausing her attempts to find the burrowed Gible, watched as Caesar proceeded to launch several rocks towards the fleeing Glameow; it was struck unconscious from the bombardment. He had been too strong. The opponent was severely outclassed. The Tyrunt was immediately disappointed with the results.[break][break]
“Better luck next time?” She called out, scuffing her boot against a soft patch of dirt. Caesar could only huff, drumming his foot against the ground.
