Mission Title: ELIMINATE THE RAMPAGING POKEMON (RUINS)[break]

Mission Description: For years, the Ruins of Alph have served as an enigmatic and ancient place. Never before have we ever considered them to be dangerous. As of late, scientist who wander into the ruins seldom return. Those that do are a traumatized mess, but, we finally managed to gain some insight on whats going on. This all is the work of a pokemon deep within the labyrinth that is the ruins. While we're unsure what type it is, a few have reported that it has purple markings all over its body. As rangers, its our job to make sure both people and pokemon remain in harmony with one another. We need to deal with this immediately before it gets out to the public and causes panic. I want you to find this pokemon, and if need be, take it out. [break]

If I can't evade my fate
[attr="class","therivmid"] [attr="class","therivmid1"] Something was terrorizing the Ruins of Alph.[break][break] Jenna could feel mixed emotions as she rode her bike towards the Researcher's Facility. The small building was the only structure on the premise. From a distance, she could see the blue tiled roof inch closer with every passing second. Everything surrounding the building was dedicated to excavation. That made it an excellent landmark.[break][break] The mouths of the caves were beckoning, visible from the road she followed. Leaning against the handlebars, the Ranger rode at a lazy pace, letting gravity do the work as the road sloped down. She knew this place was massive. Beyond those tunnels, there would be a network of ancient statues and long spanning hallways that had kept researchers captivated for ages. She had been escorted through the ancient structures, once.[break][break] That had been a long time ago, but she knew they were the same. Extensive work had been done to maintain the ancient marvel.[break][break] Parking her bike by the side of the structure, Jenna peered through the glass, noticing that the small facility was empty. With the problems plaguing this place, she wasn't surprised. The creature wandering the ruins had caused havoc. She had heard the stories–a beast adorned with purple markings was attacking pokemon and humans alike. Some researchers had been badly injured. In the darkness of the long hallways, none of them were able to identify their attacker, but it always came back to the purple marks.[break][break] It was the work of the Virus. Jenna was sure of it.[break][break] Leaning against the white wall paneling, the Ranger knew she just had to sit and wait... while trying to ignore the unpleasant memory that arose from being here. The last time she had visited this place, she had been put into a very strange predicament. The memory made her frustrated, encouraging her to sink her nails into the soft flesh of her arm. The girl had to stop thinking about it, knowing that it would only give her a headache. It wasn't worth the wasted time.[break][break] So, she fetched her phone, checking her messages as she waited on the others to arrive. She couldn't complete this mission on her own--The person who posted the mission wouldn't allow it. The risks of battling a virus pokemon were undeniable. The fellow ranger whom he'd been in contact with wasn't someone Gregory was familiar with at all, but he'd put his name on the ledger and knew it unwise not to show up. He wasn't going to get chewed out by his superiors anytime soon if he could help it. Besides, this whole thing sounded like a lot of fun! Going into dark, ominous places with mysterious stories connected to them was all the rage back in the day, and Greg saw no reason for that to have changed since.

Shooting a text to the person charged with the lead as he drew closer to the site, Gregory tucked the phone back into his jacket before racing along the final stretch on his mountain bike's highest gear. Just under five minutes had elapsed by the time he arrived after sending the text, the ranger quickly taking notice of the blue-haired girl who seemed to be on her phone.

"Yo." He spoke out to her after coming to a complete stop, some dust kicked up from the gravel road trailing behind him. "You're Jenna, I take it?" Shifting his weight off the bike and onto the two of his feet, Greg walked over to rest his bike in a similar position next to her's. Looking around, he was able to ascertain that they were still waiting on another. "So where's our third wheel?" He hadn't known anything about them, only that this wasn't going to be a job the two rangers would be able to handle "properly". Instead Greg was told Jenna would have it covered, whatever that entailed...hopefully the extra would be up to the task.

Moving towards the entrance, Gregory couldn't help but wonder what would be laying in wait for them as he peered inside. He'd never been on an actual mission like this, let alone something with such an air of caution surrounding it. It really got his blood pumping, more-so than the bike ride he took on the way here. He could hardly believe his fellow ranger was standing against the wall out here, and hadn't been taking a quick peak inside. Y'know, to scout ahead. Just a little...

The youngest McQueen happened to be the last to arrive at the meetup spot— but what else was new in that regard, right?. Whereas both Rangers followed the beaten path taken by other Pokémon Enthusiasts, Chancelor found himself in the passenger seat of a Jeep, the powerful vehicle traveling ' off road' with the driver of said vehicle being a female with a gluttonous taste for speed. The ride itself was extremely bumping, somewhat uncomfortable, and the female driving gave the Fighter an earful of displeasure, but it was all worth it to the teenager because he happened to make it before the others could officially consider him late. When the off-road vehicle came to a complete stop, he jumped out with a somewhat ' sour' face—Pikachu in the lap of the female; once pretending to drive but now snuggling the girl as his usual way to say goodbye. " I'll call you later, alright? Thanks for the ride." Chancelor says, looking dead ahead, trying his damnedest not to unleash something he'd soon regret afterwards. Pikachu joins the teenager after a few more snuggles, leaping off the lap of the driver and on to the vacant roost that would be the youngest McQueen's muscular shoulder. The mysterious female says nothing and simply drives off, a cloud of dust now left in her Jeep's wake. " I swear, Bro. She lucky I don't hit females. Maaan if she didn't have a pu---," Pikachu interrupts the words of his Trainer upon laying eyes on the blunette. Already, Pikachu jumps off the shoulder of Chancelor, lands on the hard gravel below, runs over to Jenna, and dives directly into her arms— from one cutie to another, this little mouse doesn't miss a beat at all! " Oh. Alright. Just fuck what I'm talkin' about, huh?" He shakes his head in mild displeasure, the feeling of fleeting loyalty in his ' circle' washing over him like a powerful swell. " Wassup, Bunhead. What's shakin'? You took the task too, huh?" Chance chuckles with a big grin upon lying eyes on his good friend, hazel hues dancing over to yet another familiar face directly beside her. " Greg, huh? I thought you went to Sinnoh?" Jenna pocketed her phone, trying to keep her mind focused on the task that awaited her. The ruins were deathly still. When the wind passed through the excavated caverns, they whistled as if they were the death rattle; a last breath taken before the silence could returned. It was suffocating. The young Ranger presumed it was her mind amplifying the tension that seemed to gather in the air. This would be no simple mission.[break][break]
Crossing her arms over her chest, she only stirred when she heard the familiar sound of rubber rolling across the gravel. Someone was coming. The bun-haired Ranger stepped away from the Research building to get a good view of the road. She spied the approaching person almost immediately. His blonde hair stood out from the oranges and reds of the surrounding rocks. “Hey.” She greeted in return as he came to a stop. “Yeah. I'm Jenna. Greg, right?” Or did he want to go by Gregory? He was new to the Ranger Force–newer than her, anyway.[break][break]
“He should be pulling up any minute.” She had texted Chancelor earlier. The messages had been sporadic, but the young Ranger trusted that he'd show up on time. He had a Charizard, after all... wait, had he ever ridden it? Jenna could recall the one time in the Ice Path, but that had looked uncomfortable.[break][break]
The girl pushed those thoughts aside, watching Greg approach the mouth of the cave that they would descend into. He seemed curious. “They say the whole place was evacuated after the attacks started happening. We'll be the only ones in there.” It sounded so ominous when she said it aloud. “It'll be less for us to worry about.”[break][break]
A jeep was coming. Just from a quick glance, she could see into the interior of the car and the passenger it carried. Their third had arrived. “Right on time.” The girl replied as the driver took off down the road, burning rubber and leaving clouds of dirt to rise behind it. What was up with that?[break][break]
Pikachu distracted her from her thoughts. The electric mouse immediately charged her way and the Ranger opened her arms wide for the attention-seeking bundle of volts. “Oof! You're stronger than last time.” She heaved the electric mouse up into her arms, giving him the chance to hop on board her shoulder.[break][break]
Her eyes darted from Chance to Greg, as if suddenly realizing they shared the last name as they conversed with each other. They didn't look like siblings. Cousins? Well, it was good that they knew each other. They wouldn't have to waste time with introductions.[break][break]
The young Ranger slid off her backpack, performing a quick double check to make sure she had all of her supplies in order. Potions? Check. Escape Rope? Check. “I'm ready when you guys are.”
